just taking a glance at the remaining schedules I think it's going to be tough for the 5-4 teams in the AFC to finish better than 10-6
just getting to 10-6 would take a 5-2 finish over the last seven games
Miami about to go to 5-5...at Oak, Cleveland, at N.Y. Jets, at New England...no way they go 5-1 in their last six
Tennessee 5-4....Washington, at Houston, Jacksonville, Indianapolis, Houston, Kansas City, at Indianapolis...going to be tough with all of those division games to only lose two more, at best they'll be 10-6
Jacksonville 5-4...Cleveland, at N.Y. Giants, at Tennessee, Indianapolis, Washington, at Houston...forget it
Oakland 5-4...at Pittsburgh, Miami, at San Diego, at Jacksonville, Denver, Indianapolis, at Kansas City...they'll lose two more
Kansas City 5-4...Arizona, at Seattle, Denver, at San Diego, at St. Louis, Tennessee, Oakland...they'll lose two
San Diego 4-5...Denver, at Indianapolis, Oakland, Kansas City, San Francisco, at Cincinnati, at Denver...if they beat Indy they could actually run the table and finish 11-5 but probably at least one loss for 10-6
that bodes well for the six teams that are currently in the top six
Steelers play Oakland, at Buffalo, at Baltimore, Cincinnati, N.Y. Jets, Carolina, at Cleveland
5-2 for 11-5 should get them in...if they win the games in bold they'll be safe
