  I love dogs as much as anyone, but don't really understand why people are still holding that against Vick. The guy served time for the crimes he committed. Do I have a problem with people who will never root for him? No. But to say he shouldn't win MVP because of his history is just a shame. How many guys in the NFL have done worse and are forgiven? Look up the bio on Jeremy Stevens, now that's someone that every NFL team should boycott.

  That's a touchy area because of the whole premeditation. Plus, Stallworth is a unique situation IMO, because him being drunk was irrelevant. Dude ran in front of his car.

  MVP isn't about being an upstanding citizen all your life. It's about being the league's Most Valuable Player. Vick has shown that he should be in the running with his personal issues aside. Of course, it will probably end up costing him the MVP award, which is bullshit. He made a mistake, he paid the price and now is moving on with his life and having a crazy year.

  Idk, I think most people still want him in jail. He did his time(mostly for the $ part of the operation not the actual killing of dogs) and now hes out and has a 2nd chance like any other offender who paid his dues. Some people just wont let it go
  
  What I dont get is, Vick made a mistake paid his dues and now he shouldnt get a 2nd chance and hes a terrible person. Josh Hamilton in baseball, wasnt exactly your upstanding citizen but when he turned his life around and did damn well during the season everyone talked about how inspirational his turn around was and how hes a better person now ect

  I also wouldn't vote for him because he missed several games this yr and Kolb came in and played very well and the team won games. Hard to vote for a player who has missed 3 games for the MVP.
  
  We have different views on the situation, I know this, I did what that scumbag POS did and I wouldn't be able to land a job ever again. Employer background check and they would move on the to the next canidate. If he gets the comeback player of the yr award I might throw up.

  Situations matter. Vick went to prison for what he did and did everything he needed to so that he could play football again. He's playing at an extremely high level. If he continutues this it'd be a travesty to not give it to him because of his past.

  Then of course there's what the League terms "valuable". Is what he's done on the field the only thing they're to consider of value? Or is "up holding behavior consistent with League policy" of equal, lesser or non existent value? If the League holds that the latter has merit, he could be screwed forever. Or, they could "posterchild" the dude as a shining example of the benefits of second chances. Lot of time left, but I don't think they take the risk either way imo.
