AFC playoff picture - after 12 weeks

  • Non
    1. Indy 11-0
    2. Cincinnati 8-3
    3. San Diego 8-3
    4. New England 7-3
    5. Denver 7-4
    6. Pittsburgh 6-4
    -----------------------
    Jacksonville 6-5
    Baltimore 5-5
    Tennessee 5-6
    N.Y. Jets 5-6
    Houston 5-6
    Miami 5-6

Cincinnati and San Diego will be 8-3 and 6-3 in the AFC, so not sure about common opponents. If New England wins they would only be 5-3 in the AFC so still would be No. 4 for now.

Big game obviously between the Steelers and Ravens but Jacksonville losing makes it a little less of a must win, for the Steelers. Ravens need it.

Good news for the Bengals: the only two teams that swept their divisions last season, Pittsburgh and Arizona went to the Super Bowl.

Only Indianapolis, New Orleans, Minnesota, and Cincinnati remain as division unbeatens

The amazing thing is the Titans are even being mentioned. I'm actually rooting for them to keep winning. It would be one of the all-time great stories in the NFL history to make the playoffs after starting 0-6.

Titans are most certainly dangerous. The only issue is, they have no margin for error within the AFC. They can't lose a league game the rest of the way I don't believe. They played and lost to teams early that would have tie breakers over them (Jax, Houston).

I never would count out a Jeff Fisher-coached Titans team...they are definitely playing some of the better football in the league right now...a Pittsburgh loss tonite will essentially take them out of the playoff picture...although their remaining schedule is somewhat light.

Tonight's loss hurt the Steelers but they are in no way, shape or form out of the playoff picture now. They're still in the hunt for the Wild Card.

I think the Steelers can win their last five but they need Ben and Troy to be back starting next week.

Oakland and Cleveland should be wins

and then GB and Baltimore at home, and at Miami

they can win all those if they have their main guys in there

I'm not sure how much credit goes to Jeff Fisher seeing how if it was up to him Kerry Collins would still be the starting QB.

Common opponents for Cincinnati and San Diego don't matter, they play each other in a few weeks.

Jeff Fisher is a GREAT coach, but these wins are on the shoulders of Young,Johnson, and that D.

VY/CJ is going to be a great combo for years.
