World Series Giants vs Rangers...Game 2

    CJ Wilson vs Matt Cain

so far Cain looks very good and is a fly ball machine....but the heavy winds might make that a bad thing at some point

Vlad is not playing RF....but this was planned and not for his 2 errors

I thought I heard Washington say before yesterday's game that Vlad was his clean-up hitter behind Hamilton, and he would be there. Now tonight it is a different tune as Vlad is on the bench so he could get left hander Murphy into the game, but he says defense has nothing to do with it! Yeah, right! But at least Vlad didn't give them any extra outs, only extra bases.

It was said way before game was even played that Vlad would start one game in SF and then sit the other.

I dont know what you heard, but Washington said Vlad would only play the field in back to back games in 6 and 7. This was before the series kicked off.

The number one failing of not getting a run after the lead-off double(nearly HR) was Murphy making an out without it being productive and advancing the runner.

I guess I made a "leap of faith" that surely you'd want your "clean-up hitter", who protects the AL most outstanding player in the order, to start every game of the World Series.

Renteria's counter to the Kinsler shot DOES have enough to get out of the park for the game's first run.

I have a feeling that the 5th that Cain escaped will be the stiffest challenge to his 112 pitch, complete game shut-out giving the Giants a 2-0 lead and being first of Cain's two World Series wins and propelling him to be the MVP and adding a little vcash to my name.

Very hurtful WP by Cain moving both runners up in the 6th, and making Cain's challenge more than the 5th.

But Cain gets out of the 6th also. However he used 19 more pitches which lessened the chances of a complete game.

Defensive plays by Schierholtz and Uribe get Cain thru the 7th on 11 pitches for 90 total.

Renteria muffs a great throw by Posey in a bid to get a giant out on a SB attempt by Andrus in the 8th that would have been very deflating to the Rangers, especially since Andrus wasn't even the tying or go ahead run!

Ump says Holland threw 4 balls and 1 strike to Huff to walk in the 3rd run. Pitchtrax shows 2 balls and 3 strikes!

Wow, another blowout. I would have never called this.

If ump doesn't rule the BB I mentioned it is a 2-0 game, Wilson gets the save and the game is over before 10:48, both of which increase my vbucks.

    lol...been there done that!

Too bad Washington brought me in for a crucial part of the 8th inning as opposed to their closer with nasty stuff. WTH

I did hear where Washington did an interview saying Vlad was going to be the # 4 hitter no matter what.

The Giants pitching, defense, plate approaches thus far make them unbeatable....and like they stole from the Phillies...are very fortunate as well.
