Like I said, as "bad" as they had been playing they were in the mix with the other top teams in the East

I was one of those people. I still am. They are doing a great job at beating some of the lower teams in the league, sooner or later you need to step up and prove that you can beat the big boys. They have a hell of a team but great teams dont have a losing record vs teams above.500.

Lakers gonna drop this one to Denver. Nuggets played a really, really good defensive game.

    Martin with the tip

Martin is such a douche bag.

Kinda like after Kobe makes a big shot then mouths off to people and sticks his jaw out ?

    Derrick Rose is a beast.

Haven't watched much NBA outside of the Cavs but he has taken his game to the next level.

Kobe has earned the right to do that, Kenyon... not so much.
Nuggets looked pretty good in the 2nd half. Amazing how much better they are defensively since Melo and Billups left.
Gasol played soft today and the Lakers too many turnovers.
  • Hb31187
Lol doesnt make it any less of a "douche bag" thing to do. Obviously Bryant is a better player

But yes im pleasantly surprised with how well theyre playing. I think thats 15-4 or so since the trade

    Amare calls Pau Gasol "soft"
    http://www.opposingviews.com/i/knicks-amare-stoudemire-calls-lakers-pau-gasol-soft

He may have somewhat of a point but Amare isn't the person to be calling ANYONE out.
  • Skyhook79
Maybe Pau will go Patrick Roy on Amare?

Pot meet kettle on that one, isn't Amare the guy who gave up 30 rebounds to Kevin Love? hmm who's soft lol

    Per Andrew Bynum's Twitter:
The NBA is a weird place! How can a man that plays 0 defense call a 2 time champion soft? @wheretheydothatat
  • Hb31187
Amare shouldnt be the one to call him out...But Pau is def pretty soft, champion or not

Thats just lazy, not soft haha

    He's both

Dunkin on people and finishing with contact would indicate hes not soft. Lack of effort on defense might be because hes lazy as hell or because he doesnt wanna bang, either or

He's soft, he gets abused on defense and is one of the worst pound for pound rebounders i've seen. 6'10'' and that athletic you should own the boards. He averages 8 boards a game for a team that is one of the most uptempo teams in the league. Faster tempo= more possessions= more opportunities for rebounds.
  • Hb31187
Rebounding is about effort and positioning not athleticism, look at Kevin Love. Not athletic, but pulls down boards like its his job. Hes lazy, thats for sure but idk if id call em that soft

Watch a game and just watch him the whole time and then tell me he's not lol Everyone is entitled to their own opinion though. Rebounding is about more than athleticism I agree, but athleticism can negate effort and positioning on occasion. Case in point is the UCONN vs Butler game last night.

Not wanting to "bang" would be an element of being soft.

Thats what this whole debate of whats soft or not started withl ol
