wildcats20Really didn't see much of this, but just looked at the box score.
Lakers only had 6 turnovers. That is an insanely low number, especially for a 3 OT game. Wow. Suns only had 13, which is also a low number for a 3 OT game. -
karen lotzThat game was ridiculous. Suns won the tip of every OT and scored to go up two. The Lakers followed those buckets up with either a 7-0 or 6-0 run EACH time, and then PHX would tie it up in the last few seconds. I didn't think it was ever going to end.

j_crazylove that the knicks got exactly what they wanted, and it's failing.

SportsAndLadyThe Knicks made the Carmelo trade for the future..I doubt they really planned on having a very successful 2010 season.
-
Laley23Griffin got a triple double last night. 33, 17, and 10
EJ hit the game tying 3 with a second to go in OT, Clips won in 2OT. -

Amare has no heart, plays no D, Carmelo has never been known as a defender. They will need to find a big that can defend the paint and rebound the ball. Crazy that Denver is giving up about 10 points less per game since unloading Melo, while playing the same style. -
karen lotzYeah i'm not too surprised the Knicks have struggled after the trade, they had a pretty massive overhaul of the roster in the middle of a season, especially for a playoff team. I am failry shocked how well the Rich N Creamys have played. I assume everyone wrote them off at the time of the trade but they have been playing some really good basketball.

Hb31187You dont really need a defensive big man in the East. I mean Howard is about the only offensive threat at Center there is in the entire conference...well aside from Maaaaaaybe Bogut. Boozer, Bosh And Garnett are 4's. And Amare will cancel them out most nights. They need a rebounder and a better 2 guard
And as far as the Nuggets...eh, im assuming theyll go back to their ways of allowing a million points a game in the playoffs -

I don't know about that. They have been playing with a mission and a chip on their shoulder since the trade. The most pts they have given up since the trade is 112 and that was last night and they still won. The only thing about them is their road record, you have to win on the road in the Playoffs unless you have home court and can hold serve every series. They are VERY good at Home. -

I'm co-signing this. -
SportsAndLadyI went to the Garden last night, caught the Knicks-Bucks game...you don't realize how lazy Carmelo is until you see him in person...I mean he doesn't move. He just posts up his defender 20 feet from the hoop, then takes a shot...there's no motion, no talk, just Melo posting up taking 20 foot jumpers and then not getting back on D.

Skyhook79The Knicks are in free falling mode, while the Nuggets are rolling.

When you give up like 1/2 of your team and get 1 player in return...usually things dont work out in the short term. That deal was not for 2010/11 -

Sorry doesn't fly. The Knicks received more than 1 player, 2 very, very good players in Melo and Billups and 3 others while the Nuggets also traded 1/2 their team and they are excelling. -
Hb31187You're really really kidding yourself if you think the Knicks made that trade to excel this season

Doesn't have anything to do with it or about my statement that the Knicks are in free fall mode and the Nuggets are rolling. I don't think the Knicks made the trade to tank the season either.Hb31187;725999 wrote:You're really really kidding yourself if you think the Knicks made that trade to excel this season
The Nuggets are going thru the same changes and have done very well with far less talent and are kicking butt.
btw- The knicks lose again tonight (6 straight and 10 out 0f 11) giving up 114 pts to the 2nd worst offensive team in the NBA, that averages 92. -
Hb31187The Nuggets are just are still a damn talented team, they probably have more talent overall than the NYK. The Knicks will be fine next year, Chauncey has been hurt, and they need some FA signings and theyre ok
-
Skyhook79
Keep telling yourself that. I think you know better. They have no commitment to defense and its funny that the Nuggets are all of a sudden a much better defensive team since Melo left.Hb31187;726007 wrote:The Nuggets are just are still a damn talented team, they probably have more talent overall than the NYK. Know better about what? That the Nuggets have more overall talent then the Knicks...or that the Knicks will turn it around next year? -
robj55The Knicks will never win at a high level unless they get a new coach, D'antoni is a great offensive mind but his teams are always horrible defensively and are soft more nights than not.
