How about a throwback NASCAR event?
-
NonEveryone should drive the old cars and wear the goofy outfits from like the 70s and 80s.
And use the sponsors even if it's a business that's not around anymore. -
DeyDurkie5I think nascar should fuck off
-
NonI never watch it but all of the images they show from the old days with the old drivers makes me think they could do something like this. Have a retro night.
-
THE4RINGZThey still call Richard Petty "the king". Go figure
-
OQBNASCAR just needs to disapear.....it's the same thing every single week!
-
GoChiefsEh...would never work. The sponsors wouldn't allow it to happen and ultimately, they are the ones in control. They get there way. They are too important to the sport. It would be a neat idea though. Every now and then someone will break out a retro paint scheme, but thats about it.
-
Tiernan...and the PA could play real crazy banjo music like when the Dukes of Hazard were being chased by Boss Hogg!
-
GoChiefsEh..that might work in the South, but not so much in the rest of the country. I'm not so sure they care about banjo music too much out West ya fuckin' jackass.
-
Tiernan^^^
Why not Big Chief Knowsnuthin? There are just as many hillbillys "out west" as "down south" ...the biggest diff is they wear cowboy hats instead of trucker caps. SCOOOOOORE! ....again. -
gerb131Think thats a good idea and rig it so Dale Jr wins everyday.
-
FiradLets throwback so far to the time when there was no NASCAR.

You'd have to score the first time in order to SCOOOOOOORE again. You can talk about NASCAR being "hillbilly's" all you want...but this isn't 1981 anymore princess. Was it then? Yes, it's hard to argue that. But now a days? Ummm, no, not at all. Jeff Gordon, Jamie McMurray, Kasey Kahne, Clint Bowyer..just to name a few, FAR from "hillbilly's". Try again jackass. Or continue failing like usual. -

Or you could just not click on a NASCAR thread..how's that sound? -

Damn you are so witty. That's up there with the nicknames that the likes of mtrulz comes up with! Your mother must be so proud.
/sarcasm. -
coyotes22Why the NASCAR haters? Most unpredictable sport out there. Most football games, who know who is going to win, before kickoff. 90% of races, you have to wait till the checkered flag to know who won. Thats thrilling!!!!
-
I drain 3'sI'd become a Nascar driver, but i'm just not poor or stupid enough.

You sure? I think from your post..you might have the stupid part down...considering that doesn't even make any sense. -

LOL...nope...don't watch it. -
killdeerhmmmm...this thread seems to have uncovered some NASCAR haters..........?
I actually think a throwback race in vintage 70's vehicles, they could keep their same sponsors......that would be pure gold.
Could you see Carl Edwards, in the AFLAC colors, in a vintage Ford...that would be priceless.

Synopsis: Cartmen tries to become as poor and stupid as possible to be a better NASCAR driver. As those are the requisite skills to be successful in the field. -
SonofanumpThe sponsors could be changed, but could the new safety devices be put in the "throwback" cars?
