What will be Pittsburgh's record with Big Ben?

  • Leonardo
    October 17th vs. Cleveland
    October 24th at Miami
October 31st at New Orleans (Sunday Night Football)
November 8th at Cincinnati (Monday Night Football)
November 14th vs. New England (Sunday Night Football)
    November 21st vs. Oakland
    November 28th at Buffalo
December 5th at Baltimore (Sunday Night Football)
    December 12th vs. Cincinnati
    December 19th vs. N.Y. Jets (4:15 PM)
December 23rd vs. Carolina (Thursday Night Football on NFL Network)
    January 2nd at Cleveland

So, what will the Steelers record be with Big Ben as the starting quarterback (assuming he starts all 12 games)? Definite wins? Definite losses (or close to)? Toss-ups?

    I went with 6-6......
as a BTW...I think it is entirely possible he will not start all 12 games that he is back...

a team that is 3-1, you are careful with...you try not to upset team chemistry.............

I would not be at all surprised if Ben, in his first week or two back from suspension, took a supportive role to Batch.

They have a lot of tough games. They'll be better as a team overall but they're definitely going to lose some games just because of the competition.

    Cleveland
    at Miami

neither of those two are gimmees but they kind of need both to have a cushion...I'll say they sneak by both of those and get to 5-1

    at New Orleans
    at Cincinnati
    New England

they'll go 1-2 in these three...I think they can beat New Orleans this year but they'll be so high and probably lose coming back at Cincinnati and I say loss to New England, too

    6-3 after nine games

    Oakland - W, 7-3
    at Buffalo - W, 8-3
    at Baltimore - L, 8-4
    Cincinnati - W, 9-4
    N.Y. Jets - W, 10-4
    Carolina - W, 11-4
    at Cleveland - W, 12-4

12-4 or 11-5 if they lose that game to the Jets

I think they'll go 9-3 with Ben. I think they beat Baltimore even though it's on the road. Losses to the Bengals (once), Jets and somebody they shouldn't lose to will be the 3 that they drop IMO.

    I went with 9-3 although I could easily see 8-4 or 7-5.

November 8th at Cincinnati (Monday Night Football) - L

    November 21st vs. Oakland - W
    November 28th at Buffalo - W
December 5th at Baltimore (Sunday Night Football) - W
    December 12th vs. Cincinnati - W
    December 19th vs. N.Y. Jets (4:15 PM) - L
December 23rd vs. Carolina (Thursday Night Football on NFL Network) - W
    January 2nd at Cleveland - W

Have you not been watching the first 4 games? The Steelers are 31st in passing. Believe me, Ben starts every game if healthy. I predicted 11-5 before the season started but now I am going 12-4.

Hard to figure in the NFL though.

I predicted a 12-4 season before the season started so my prediction with Ben is 9-3.
  • gerb131
0-2 vs the Bengals is all I care about.
  • Heretic
I'm going for 9-3 to finish 12-4 also. I was in the 10-11 win group (more or less) to start the season, but an unexpected 3-1 start without him is making me 12-win optimistic. Maybe 13, but 12 seems the safer bet.

Well he can't do much to add to their success. 3-1 without him is a testement to their coaching staff.

I think it is safe to say that you haven;t watched 1 full minute of a Steelers game this season. Batch's play was a major factor in the loss to the Ravens.

This is the second time I'm hearing this "chemistry garbage. How can a team that used 3 different QBs with the first team for the majority of the preseason and the first 4 games build any freakin' chemistry?! Chemistry that is so important that one of the best QBs in the league would disrupt?? lmao.

    8-4

I watched Bens interview with Merrill Hoge today. I like what I seen and heard from Ben. He seems humbled by what happened. I can see him coming out and playing the best football of his career. That is bad news for the rest of the league, especially the Clowns.

Ben brings a lot of energy to the field.

He's become the clear leader of the offense both with his athletic ability and intangibles.

It's going to be a huge difference for guys like Wallace, Ward and Miller -- all outstanding players -- who have been held back the first four games.

I am skeptical about the team continuing to stress the run game. I think when Ben gets comfortable, Arians is going to want to pass a lot.

    I'm gonna say 10-2.

Losses at New Orleans and at Baltimore.

Maybe 9-3. That Pats game is a toss up for me.

I think they beat Baltimore this time around but lose one to the Bungals.

I could see that as well.

What do you think about the rest of the schedule?
  • bigdaddy2003
I don't think they will beat the Ravens.

Pretty brutal 3 game stretch on the road with at Mia, at NO, and at Cinci. If they go 2-1 or better then the league will have to worry. I think the stripes get them on MNF but 2-1 on that trip is no slouch.

You mean kill drives with false starts.
"Coach, give me your reactions to the false starts when you were trying to run out the clock?"
Tomlin:"its just the Steelers bein the Steelers"
