Hey Browns.. Draft Mallet
-
rydawg5How many national championships do Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Phillip Rivers, Aaron Rodgers, Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, Ben Rothberger, Tony Romo, Brett Favre, Jay Cutler, Michael Vick, Kevin Kolb, Matt Stafford, Chad Henne, and Matt Shaub have combined?

He is very accurate? Have a few too many beers when watching him play? -

He isn't much more than anderson that's for sure...He is accurate and has amazing mechanics, like oh let's say ryan leaf, jabustus, Colt McCoy, Brady Quinn, etc. You don't make sense -

How many of them came out of college with "perfect mechanics and great accuracy"..boom roasted! -
dat dudeAndrew Luck by far. Luck is the prototypical QB, and has the smarts to back it up. I'll pass on Mallet.

Actually 12.. i hope Mallet gets signed by the Omaha Nighthawks.. -
hoops23Ryan Mallet is NO WHERE near being the best QB in college football.
Andrew Luck is waaaaaay ahead of him in development as a QB.
Being a QB is more than just having a big arm. If that wasn't the case, Derek Anderson would be a great one. -
rydawg5
Yes! case in point, Luck with 1 td 2ints against the amazing defense of Notre Dame.. just speed .. I think of speed when i think of the Irsish. I think of cement blocks on feet when I think of Alabama's Defense..hoops23;497476 wrote:Ryan Mallet is NO WHERE near being the best QB in college football.

Andrew Luck! Best QB in CFB... -

lmao i was going to say the same thing but refrained. got to love the judgement off one game against the best D in the country.rydawg5;497535 wrote:Yes! case in point, Luck with 1 td 2ints against the amazing defense of Notre Dame.. just speed .. So did Peyton in college.
I want Mallet as well. Can make all the throws. Luck doesnt go downfield as much, and in the NFL you need that. Browns havent had a QB with an arm/skill like Mallet in forever. -

I'm not making excuses but both of those balls were tipped. The second one went right through his wr's hands.
I would be happy with either guy but I'm leaning towards Luck. -
SportsAndLadyYeah rydawg definitely didn't watch the ND/Stanford game
-
rydawg5Oh so they have a statistical category for "tipped" ints?
-
thedynasty1998
I still think he's the best. 350 yards against the top defense in the country is still impressive. Sure he made some mistakes with the int's, but he can learn from those.lhslep134;497215 wrote:O rly??

Are you evaluating quarterbacks or their respective statistics? Do you think all INTs are equal? -

Derek Anderson agrees with you. Its Andrew Luck and its not close. He's the best QB in this yrs draft IF he decides to come out. -

You and Dynasty are both idiots if you think both these guys will do well in the NFL. Have you even played a sport in your life? Let the real football experts talk about football while you two play pecker slaps. -
trep14I'd prefer Mallet. I know he just choked against Bama, but its not like any of the top qb's in the NFL right now never choked in their collegiate careers at some point in time. Last time I checked Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, and Aaron Rodgers never won an NCAA championship, meaning they lost a game in a season somewhere along the way.

You left off guys like Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Peyton Manning. They are accurate and have amazing mechanics. -

Yeah they did, and that is only 3 out of everyone of those qb's... -

Well, your logic suggested that clearly you didn't want to draft QB's with strong arms and perfect mechanics since Jamarcus Russel, Brady Quinn, Ryan Leaf, and Colt McCoy all had them and they aren't good NFL QB's. I'm pretty sure the Colts are happy that they drafted Manning. Ditto for the Packers and the Patriots. -
rydawg5Jarmarcus Russel had perfect mechanics? WTF are you talking about..? Brady Quinn? Didn't he have to change the way he gripped the ball? I'm pretty sure that was big news in Browns camp..
I don't remember anyone ever speaking of Colt's "perfect" mechanics. -
BoatShoesMallet has all the tools but I don't think he has "it" like a Steve Young or a Joe Montana, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, etc. I don't think he has it upstairs. JMO.
