Brady Quinn

Cleveland BuckQuinn is better than Anderson. Of course, I am better than Anderson, so it isn't saying much. The Browns are just sad. I don't even want to talk about them. I just sit silent about them all week and take my punishment for three hours on Sunday (or Monday this week).

royal_kRumor has it, he will be starting monday night against the ratbirds. Not that it matters, but I think Mangini owes it to him to give him this shot. It seemed the first time around he was handcuffed in the plays that were called. Personally, I don't think he will ever be a good starting QB. But I'd like to be sure before next year.
Thoughts???? -
royal_kI just started a thread on this. lol
we need a mod to consolidate them. -
j_crazythey still suck. and will lose.
when will cribbs or ratliff get their shot.
mantooth, trueblue, justin. consolidate this shit. 1 quinn thread is too many, but 2 is absurd. -
darbypitcher22Does it really matter? the Browns are terrible, Mangini is terrible, and they'll still get their ass kicked.
-
hoops23Yeah, at 1-7 this means little.
Neither should/will be with the team next season. -
Mister TwisterThis is his third season. If he were any better than what they are using at quarterback now, he would already be playing.
-
jordo212000I still think they need to give Ratliff a try. You know Anderson doesn't have it, and from all appearances, Quinn doesn't either... so try somebody else
-
dazedconfusedcaptain checkdown has arrived to save the season and lead us on an 8 game winning streak straight to the playoffs
we're going to get stomped either way, so it really doesn't matter...i'd actually like to see what ratliff's got - it can't be any worse than these two idiots -
devil1197Both suck huge testicles so it doesn't matter.
-
CincyRedRiderI'm heading up Monday for the game. Are fans still trying to organize some sort of protest for kickoff?
-
The EnforcerDid he not lose the option for the $11 million a week or so ago?
The timing of this is interesting to say the least. -
BlueDevil11I think he should wait another week to start.
The ravens D will kill him.
At least he could have a shot against the Lions D. -
Cmhs74Browns...........Monday night................Now the whole nation can see how bad they are.

Agree with this 100%. We'll never really be able to tell how good Quinn can be because just about every other offensive position on this team is terrible. I've said it before, and stand by it, that Peyton Manning would not be able to move the ball regularly with this offense. It's THAT bad.BlueDevil11 wrote: I think he should wait another week to start.

I'm sorry but that's just a false statement. Manning's release and decision making is far superior to AnderQuinn's and he is a much more accurate quarterback. AnderQuinn has actually had some opportunities to hit open receivers and they just cannot throw an accurate ball. Would Peyton do as well as he is in Indy? Obviously not.....but to say he wouldn't be able to move the ball in this offense is an insult to his ability. Anybody who's ever watched Peyton play the game knows he could move the ball with this offense.Hamp89 wrote:

thedynasty1998He will prove that he's not hte QB of the future and the management can draft a QB in the draft with the fans fully supporting that decision.

It does make it easier to try and trade him with a lower contract. The Enforcer wrote: Did he not lose the option for the $11 million a week or so ago?

LocoEngineer66wow ... the kid has had 5 starts and eveyones an expert about him
-
tigerfan82no loco......watched him in college......and there is a reason he dropped so far and hasn't played!!!

I think Peyton would be more successful(obviously), but his personnel he would have on the Browns wouldn't help him at all and he's the not the type of QB to "make plays" with his athletic ability. He's a great passer and decision maker and neither will change much for the Browns right now, IMO of course.krazie45 wrote:

Lambert- 58As a black and gold fan I never thought I would say this, but I do feel bad for the Browns fans. Mangenious is an idiot! Why in the hell did they ever get rid of Winslow anyway? At least he could catch the ball (if someone could get it to him).
-
royal_kPretty sad when we have Steeler fans feeling sorry for us. It's at an all time low.
-
hoops23Quinn can still statistically earn his 10 million dollar+ bonus as he can still earn 70% of the snaps.
