Fan bases you hate

killdeerthe most amazing thing to me is...
I am all over the whole "I hate NY thing".....
but somehow, I kind of root for the Giants...maybe it is the whole 'little-brother-underdog-thing-with-Eli", and "if-you-can-put-up-with-that-gigantic a-hole-Tom Coughlin-you-have-deserved-my respect-thing".............but do not get me wrong.....the Yankees, Mets, Nets, Jets, and Knicks can just kiss it. As well as their giant legion of loser-fans.
just my humble opinion... -
karen lotzNFL: Steelers
MLB: Phiillies
NCAAF: OSU
seems like a bit of a bandwagon caravan. -

Like I have said before, my mother was born in Philly, father was born in Pittsburgh.
My mother was a baseball guru but gave two shits about any other sports.
My father was a Steelers, Pirates and Penguins fan, but is not big in to baseball.
My mother and father left PA to go to college and met at The Ohio State University.
Nice try though. -
karen lotzWell I guess its just fortuitous that your mother was a baseball guru and the Phillies are good, and your dad wasn't into baseball and the Pirates haven't had a winning season since before you were born.
-
karen lotzI honestly don't care who you root for, just found it odd that you were calling someone out for being a bandwagoner when your alliances seem to prove the same about you.
-
Tiger2003Really since I was born huh.....Not sure you know my age.....Yep I was alive for the 1980 World Series Title!
Arent you a Braves fan? -
killdeer^^^I bet your great Aunt Lotty was born in Miami via Cleveland, so therefore you are a Heat fan........
this will be a great year for you. -

If Your talking to me I hate NBA..... -
karen lotzThe Pirates thing was just a joke. I don't know your age. I am indeed a Braves fan. I still remember the worst season before they went worst to first and also Sid Bream and Francisco Cabrerra. I was 8 when that happened.

And you a Notre Dame football fan? Whos your NFL team? -
karen lotzYup Notre Dame fan since I was born, plus you and others have very clearly determined that Notre Dame is horrible. It wouldn't make sense to be on that bandwagon would it? I don't have an NFL team really, I only really got into it because of fantasy football. If I had to really choose a team I'd lean towards the Browns, and I don't believe they have been too successful either.
-
Tiger2003Your from Ohio right?
So since the Phillies and Steelers are good Im a bandwagon guy. Your a damn idiot. -
karen lotzYou are or you're would be the word you are looking for. If you are going to call someone an idiot, you should probably try to get that right.
Yes man I'm from Ohio. You are getting awfully personal with the questions. I hope you aren't getting sweet on me, I don't swing that way. -
Tiger2003Nope I am happily married with 2 kids.
Get over yourself man. You really have some serious issues, always trying to clown on people. I forgot you are part of the grammar police. I really wish you the best, in everything you do. -
riders1Browns fans win hands down, they keep trying to claim all the old Browns records for this garbage on the field now. They should have let the Browns go, kept the colors but renamed this group of pretenders as the expansion team they are!

SnotBubblesTo be fair to all of you Chicago Cubs fan haters....the fans you hate aren't the real Cubs fans. Those are the people who hopped on the bandwagon in 2003. I hate them equally. True, lifelong Cubs fans are some of the best people at the ball park. They aren't the ignorant fans shouting and yelling in a drunken stupor at the opposing teams/players. They (for some idiotic reason) think it's glamorous to be a Cubs fan....
The only fans I can't stand are the fans that only cheer for their teams when they're winning. That irritates the hell out of me. I'm with my Cubs, Bears, Illini, Bulls...through thick and thin. I had no idea half of the people I know (including our own Ernest_T_Bass) even watched baseball....let alone claimed the Reds as their favorite team this year! I consider myself more of a Reds fan than most of them. I go to 3-4 Reds games a year and I cheer for them if they're not playing the Cubs. And that has been for the last 10 years. Fair weather fans are the worst. -

Snot, that's just the difference in our fandom. I've always been a Reds fan, I just don't (nor do I see the need to) preach it and live it. A few years ago I picked up FSN-Cinci, so I was able to follow them more. Being in NW Ohio, I can't drive down to many games (if any) and it's tough to follow every game (besides looking things up on the internet, which I do).
There are different types of fans. Are the only "true" fans the ones that live/breathe for those teams? If so, then I can honestly say that I'm a proud "non-true" fan. I like my teams. Love my teams. But I don't feel the need to be die-hard. -
SnotBubblesI didn't say you had to be die-hard....but you should be able to at least admit you are a fan when the team is down. If you don't...then you are the definition of a "fair weather fan."
And a homosexual, in your case ETB. -

I'm always a fan of my teams. Fan of my Dolphins when they had one win. Fan of the Reds, regardless. Homosexual, always. The fact that I'm a Dolphins fan, and have been since I was a wee lad, disproves your assessment of my fandom.
