Week 1: Minnesota Vikings @ New Orleans Saints

UA5straightin2008Should be a great game, rematch of last years NFC championship, where in my opinion the Vikings got robbed...buts thats another story. How does Favre look? Predictions?
I'm sayin Favre throws for 250 yds, 2 tds, 1 INT...vikings 24 saints 17 -
Strapping Young LadI hope so but I don't know who he's gonna be throwing to.....
I see this season being a letdown for the Viks, with Rice/Harvin injured and the unsung hero of the O Chester Taylor now gone ( I think the abscence of CT is a huge deal as he was of vast importance on 3rd down as a reciever and a hell of a ball carrier)....
Obviously wanna see a Viks win but iDK if the D will be able to hold the Saints O in check two games in a row. I was shocked that they played so well in the NFCCG. I thought if anything it would be the D that let them down (specifiacally the secondary) but in fact it was the offense and their inability to cash in on the many many chances they had.
Interested to see Toby G in a Viks uni though. Just don't see the Viks being at their sharpest in gm 1. Saints 28 Viks 20.... -
NonI don't believe the Super Bowl winner has lost one of these games when they open on a Thursday night.

Laley23I like the Saints, but I think its a great game. I think both teams take a step back, but are still 2 of the top 4 in the NFC. Favre will be fine, even without Rice. I think Berrian will have a better (bounce back sort of) year. Harvin seems fine and is poised to make a step forward after his first full season is behind him. He appears healthy as he is the primary KO return man and one of 3 options at PR man.
I do agree completely that Taylor will be a monumental loss. I can already see ADP with some crucial 3rd down runs where he fumbles.
For the Saints, I have no real reason other than I dont think they can repeat. I also think they have too many RBs to choose from. Unless one of them establishes themselves as the back-up to Thomas, I think they will have a slight problem (I mean, how can the back-up RB be a HUGE problem right?).
