Bob Bradley signs 4 year extension with U.S. soccer

mucalum49Can't say I'm too excited with this. I was hoping Aston Villa would pull him away and we could finally get Klinsmann.

Laley23Fuck that. If this had ANYTHING to do with them still not giving Jurgen control of the youth teams someone needs to be shot.

hoops23Ugh, hate this so much.

tk421U.S. soccer won't ever win anything in the W.C as long as Bradley is the coach.

Is that really the rumored reason? Why wouldn't they want Jurgen to control the youth teams? One would think that would improve USA soccer even more so. -
AutomatikI have mixed emotions about this. I actually like Bradley....he accomplished a hell of a lot more than I expected. BUT.....he made some major lineup gaffes in the WC and I'm having a hard time looking past it.

Notice the word again in my original post. That was what made him back out of the verbal agreement that was in place 4 years ago. He was again apparently interested this year, and while we dont have the media involved as much (probably because of 4 years ago), it isnt that far fetched to think he again wanted full control and was not given it.
I agree though, I would think fluidity throughout the systems would be a good thing, but the USSF disagrees. -

SageThank God he didn't end up at Villa.
US Soccer allegedly met with Klinnsman, if they thought they had a real shot at him, Bradley would be gone. Besides Bradley/Klinnsman, whom would you want?
