Albert Pujols....400 HR

  I know most of us are rooting are asses off against the Cardinals....but hopefully us baseball fans can appreciate one of THE very best players we will likely see in our lifetime.....barring major injury or HGH findings he is the one.
  
  400 HR and over 1200 RBI at age 30 and he didn't come up in his teens like Griffey and Arod.
  
  To do what he has done in the time that he has done it.....and with the consistency.....3 or 4 more Albert years and then a typical winding down of a career and you'll have a player who has
  
  775 HR
  2200 RBI
  2200 Runs
  3500 Hits
  650 Doubles
  
  
  .......and so much more
  
  Keep rooting against the Cards....and keep rooting for Votto to outlast Pujols.....but don't forget to appreciate being able to watch one of the best players of your lifetime.

  Hard to believe that for how good he is, he's only like the 4th youngest player to hit 400. FOURTH. I mean Pujols has been just unbelievable for almost a decade and he's only the FOURTH youngest ever.

  Just looking back, is there any hitter in the history of baseball more overlooked and forgotten than Jimmie Foxx? Dude's lifetime numbers are pretty sick. 3-time MVP......hit 58 HRs in 1932. Lifetime OPS over 1.

  He was sick (not that I was alive to see it). But the numbers say so. You do rarely hear about him, He falls just short on the "magic" numbers of hits, RBIs, and doubles. Has the 500 HR and .300 Avg. But the others might be the reason we dont hear him mentioned on the "lists" announcers give.
