Coco's Crisp.... Nix, Duncan doughnuts. ZZZZZ..... coffee anyone?

  • HitsRus
Coco Crisp showed us why we traded him for Andy Marte....going 3 for 5 with a double and scoring 2 runs. Marte for his part, raised his BA to .219 with a hit in 4 trips...and a nice play at 3rd.

Then it gets worse for the Tribe. Nix ,Duncan, Cabrera, and Marson put up more than a dozen doughnuts in their offensive display (which was clearly offensive) to anyone who watched.

Did anyone watch? Has the Tribe become unwatchable?

So you want Coco still playing for the Tribe?

I haven't watched the Tribe in a couple of weeks. With football season approaching I am ending my baseball season early.

    There is always next year.

Your thread title cracks me up, Hits, and no, I didn't follow it. Hang in there and don't go off the deep end just yet! ;-)

Coco was probably my favorite player back before he was traded. He was solid in 04 and 05.

I wasn't happy with the trade, but we did have Grady and we needed a third baseman....I reluctantly accepted it. The problem is that the centerpiece for the trade from the Indians perpective, never panned out. It wasn't long before Derek Shelton ruined Marte's swing and his confidence. Such is the case when trying to 'finish' developing players, whether we are/were talking about Marte, Chisenhall or Carrasco.

Tribe down early in tonite's game, as A's greetted Talbot with a 5 spot in the 1st inning. Tribe FINALLY puts a run on the board in the 5th....sheesh.

This team is so far away from competing it's sickening. How the hell did we get so little back for Sabathia and Lee? (More of a rhetorical question, I'm aware of how bad Shapiro is at his job)

Right now it would be nice if just ONE of Brantley/LaPorta/Donald/Carrasco panned out.

^^^^I've been a loyal follower thru thick and thin...(mostly thin) since the mid 60's, and this is the most unwatchable team I have EVER seen. Even when the team was rebuilding in '04, they were at least interesting to watch. This really has just degenerated into the blind leading the blind as they have shed every bit of salary that could possibly get rid of, for not just wanna be's and could be's, but for never be's. These guys are pathetic on both sides of the ball.
