Quite a read. Awesome to hear how excited he is to be back on the mound, and how driven he has been. I subscribe to the philosophy that if you always are positive and always keep things in perspective and set goals, you are more likely to achieve those goals. Here's to hoping Volky gets back to or better than his 2008 season form.
P.S. Maybe I'm a Reds homer, but I tend to believe him when it comes to his positive PED test. I mean, of course he broke the rules and of course he deserved to be punished, but when it comes down to it, the likelihood of taking a medication that contains a banned substance is actually pretty high if you're not careful. Look at that Olympic gymnast from like 6 years ago that got her medal stripped because she took some cough medicine. Does it make him a cheater? Everyone will have their own opinion, I for one think not. But hey, in the court of public opinion....if its suspected that you're guilty of something or some sort of social or professional stigma, its normally something you'll carry with you the rest of your life.
Lets go Reds!
