    Puppyalooza!

I'll be curious on what the attendance will be? Will they count only the humans or does Rover count too?

Rover will be paying $15 to get in....er,...his owner will be buying a "Dog Package" which includes a ticket for 1 adult and a dog. (additional human tix can be bought for $15)

Reds do it something like 3-4 times a year. And from what I have heard it is always a big success and good time.

I do find it amusing that back when the Tribe was selling out all their games....there was pretty much zero promotions that amounted to anything and now they have all kinds of crazy things. Supply and demand I guess.....
  • dave
There are about 10 teams that do this now. Not sure who started it but the Reds have been doing it for I think 4 years. This year they even have 2 of em. We took our puggle last year but she's too hyper, we went on the field in the beginning but she only lasted 4 innings I think.

Chasing down Oakland for that #29 spot on the attendance list.

^^^I guess it's fitting that the game is against the A's.

Gonna have to watch where you step..lol. i'm sure the 'PUP' promotion will be providing poop bags.

Frankly I'm impressed you managed to pull off a double pun thread title...kudos on that one.

Can't blame the owners for trying to garner attention. With football season starting this is their last chance to try some sort of gimmick to draw a decent crowd
  • THE4RINGZ
Mr. Veck is proud of this ownership.
  • Con_Alma
    Bill Veck...the king of promotions.
  • THE4RINGZ
I would hit up a game if it were nickle beer night, dollar dog night, AND I got to play left field.
  • Con_Alma
Would you be playing left field before or after the beer and hot dogs???
  • Heretic
Hopefully after. Much more amusement that way. Especially if there's also a giveaway involving something that can be thrown on the field.
  • Con_Alma
It may also be an upgrade to the lineup!!!
  • THE4RINGZ
    Yes.

I plan on eating and drinking while in the field and on base. I will become a player the fans love. Every fans player. Like the John Daly of MLB.

My dog is too wild and hyper to take to a baseball game!

Nothing is a bigger 'promotion' than the owner spending money on a Cy Young winner!...oh wait he didn't do that! That is why the team has gone to the dogs.
  • HitsRus
I'll be heading out to the game tonite...with my wife, not my dog. No nasty comments please.;)

Tribe has scored only 4 runs in the past 5 games.
  • THE4RINGZ
Oh my, take something soft to lay your head on when you fall asleep.
  • BRF
Hits has the aewsome thread titles! I agree with the previous poster comments about bringing their dogs to the game. My dog would go nuts. So, Ringz: you not only want to be a mod, but you also want to play for the Tribe! Ha Ha! They ain't THAT bad! ;-)
  • THE4RINGZ
I need multiple income streams. There is no shame in that.
  • BRF
I just heard on the radio that there are 267 dogs in attendance tonight. I would think that might be more of a liability than 10 cent beer night! Oh my, LaPorta just hit a bomb to take the lead into the 7th. Woof Woof!
  • THE4RINGZ
I wish they would show a pooch on STO.
  • BRF
Ha! We win. C. Perez gets a 5 out save and no fireworks because of the pooches. When is the last time we have seen a 5 out save?
  • HitsRus
    Woof....
No bones about it. Good game tonite!

Next season should be about the same as this one.
The 70's are here to stay for a long time in losersville.
