Hamilton and Cabrera are way out in front.....Robinson Cano must be considered and is ahead of Konerko for sure.

If Hamilton pulls a little closer with his defense and Rangers likely in playoffs......he could take it from Cabrera.

    Right now...slight edge Cabrera

Cabrera then Hamilton. A big September from either clinches it. No one else will win this award. But Cano should be an option before Pauly.

Outside of average, Cabrera has Hamilton beat on all accounts. Hamilton will get some extra votes because the Rangers will likely get in the playoffs and the Tigers won't but I have never been a big fan of that way of thinking but it is what it is. September will decide it but it's a two man race and I doubt that changes.

Right now I've got to vote for Cabrera unless Hamilton goes off this next month.

Where's the list of players who hit 50+ home runs this year who should obviously be deserving of an MVP? Man, i miss the steroid era : (
