Reds @ Dodgers...Game 2
-
Ironman92Johnny Cueto vs Chad Billingsley
Billingsley had nothing on them the last meeting....hoping for much of the same. -
SportsAndLadyBit premature, ya?
-
Ironman92actually I was 24 days over my due date
-
Ironman92Fewer mistakes last night and a well played game breaking the streak.
Another monkey off back....another win wanted. Phillips stepped up last night.....we need someone else to do it tonight. -
osu45804Tonights Lineup:
Phillips 4
Stubbs 8
Votto 3
Rolen 5
Gomes 7
Bruce 9
Hernandez 2
Janish 6
Cueto 1 -
justincredibleThat looks like a winning lineup.
-
Ironman92For the while I'd have Hernandez 5th
our 7th and 8th hitters are very good for those spots....which can help -
Ironman92Back in early May I spoke of needing Phillips in the #1 or #2 hole as opposed to the #4......I was stupid by some:

Phillips would be as much of a disaster in the 1 spot as he is in the 4 spot.
I'm holding out hope that the lineup was switched back only because of the Rolen off day today. But I think we all know that BP will be in the clean up spot for the vast, vast majority of the season. -
closer26Anddddd Volquez walks in a run
-
osu45804Cueto with terrible control here in the 1st Inning over 30+ pitches and 3 walks and 7 batters come to the plate and L.A. lead 1-0 after 1
-
Ironman92The Riot seems to kill the Reds.
Cueto is throwing some straight balls -
Ironman92straight ball to Ethier
-
Ironman92Paul Keels: "Ethier pops one to centerfield"
Paul it went 430 feet for a HR.......get the heartrate over 60 and call it a shot or whatever. I didn't watch the hit but heard Keels' call and thought he just hit a routine fly to CF....not 80 ft further. -
Ironman92Keels just mentioned Janish losing his 5 game hitting streak......pet peeve
-
osu45804Dodgers just playing HomeRun derby tonight ..... I HATE the Reds TV Crew
-
Ironman92uh......how's that straightball working? 4 HR in 5 batters
-
Ironman92Keels again:
"Phillips gets on the curveball"
He hit it 180 feet. -
closer26yeah my bad by the way....definitely not edinson pitching lol...but yeah cueto looks a tad off....just a tad
-
Ironman92Let's go Mike Leake.....sparkplug
-
Ironman92Billingsley just took 6 seconds to get to 1st and cost himself a single
-
Ironman92My son who is going into 1st grade ran to 1st at the Reds kidzone in 5.11 seconds
-
Ironman92less than 10 pitches for Leake.........bottom of the order to the rescue!
-
Ironman92Hernandez and Janish batting 12th and 13th both get hits and now Leake is batting
no outs -
osu45804Strike 3 on Leake was terrible!!
-
Ironman92Hernandez and Janish have OPSs way better than Stubbs, Gomes and Bruce
