thedynasty1998It was just a matter of time. Normally I would say, "Doesn't Congress have better things to do". But with Clemons, I hope they go after him hard.
Still can't get past his comment about genetic heart disease in his family, as was evidenced by his father-in-law (or something along those lines). -

Couldn't agree more. He would have been better taking Sammy Sosa's approach and say he can't answer because he doesn't understand the English language that well. Clemens is a POS. -
BigAppleBuckeyeI hope he goes down, and goes down hard. Even since that Bush-league, broken bat toss at Mike Piazza, I have hated this prick.
-
derek bomarCongress should have better shit to do. That said, he's a retard and should be punished for lying. So I am indifferent.
-
sjmvsfscs08I mean Congress could be doing something productive.....whatever takes Americans' eyes off the problem. This, sadly, may actually garner a rise in the polls for those fuckers on Capitol Hill.

karen lotzClemens tweet today:
What a colossal doucheI never took HGH or Steroids. And I did not lie to Congress. I look forward to challenging the Governments accusations, and hope people will keep an open mind until trial. I appreciate all the support I have been getting. I am happy to finally have my day in court.

Ironman92It's quite easy to argue that Clemens benefitted more than any other player from illegal substances.
My least favorite star of all-time. -
ernest_t_bassMinority here. I like Clemens.

YtowngirlinflaOh i bet he settles if they offer or something. Let's just say the government big boys don't just go after people without having major evidence that'll stick. I hope he likes being called "red rocket" lol bad joke!

Apparently he was already offered a deal and he declined. The guy is just a stubborn asshole and you don't get indicted without some evidence against you. He's screwed. Read where he could face from 6-18 months in prison, and the trial won't be for another year. Just another problem I have with the legal system. They investigate him for a year to see whether or not to charge, and then they wait another year for a trial. All in hopes of sending him to jail for a few months. -
tsst_fballfanPfffttttt perjury isn't a real crime is it? I mean Clinton committed perjury to a federal grand jury. Not only did he not go to jail he didn't even lose his POTUS job.
-
Scarlet_FeverI'm indifferent if he goes down hard. But if he does then shouldn't others? Didn't Palmereo say he didn't take anything then fail a test. I've heard that Bonds name is one of those on the list of 100+ players who failed test. Shouldn't they both be charged also? Maybe McGuire too.

Ironman92McGuire and Palmereo never accomplished much of anything in baseball.
