Tribe vs. Royals in the basement battle
-
BRFNow THIS thread is for posting rants about the Tribe, especially since Art Modell aka Capone posted on here.
-
BRFNow we are cooking with gas! BTW, both teams are twenty games under at 49-69, but we up still 1-0 in the 4th.
-
Art ModellThis site has been fucked up ever since the arcade was put in.
-
BRFWelp, we lost 2-1 and fall back into the basement. On a side note, Art Modell makes a post to help keep this thread off of FFT's "Worst Threads" list! Ahhhh, the life of a Tribe fan.
-
HitsRusI have to admit i've not been watching much lately. I actually opened this thread to find out who won. I guess I'm not completely apathetic
-
grodtTough one for Gomez. He's still been one of the best surprises of the season for the Tribe.
-
tigerfan82another well pitched game, these young arms are giving me hope for next year...........BRF, no way we finish in the basement this year.......might catch the Tigers even.......but I think I have given up on my 500 season
-
BRFAnd we're losing AGAIN. Way to show up against the Royals!
-
Mohican00So that whole post-All Star awesomeness.....just a tease. GD indians
-
grodtSo we play well against good teams...suck against Baltimore, Seattle and Kansas City
Excuse me while I bang my head against the nearest hard object. -
MulvaOutside of a 4 game sweep against Detroit (who is 8-23 since the all-star break), the Indians really didn't play that well against the 'good' teams either. I know good is relative, but 9-11 hardly qualifies as good baseball for any team.
We still have 11 games left against the Royals after tonight though, so plenty of basement battles still to come. -
daveOn the positive side Brantley has looked pretty darn good since coming back.

I would argue that 9-11, against the teams we played (Yankees, Rays, Rangers all post-season bound, plus the Red Sox) and considering our talent level, isn't too shabby. Now if we were good, or even decent, we would do that against really good teams and then beat up on bad teams. We can't do both, and that is why we are 22 games under .500 -
BRFAnd I won't argue about that, grodt. Who's pitching for us tonight? Or a better question might be, who cares?
