Preseason: Cincinnati vs Denver (Tebow's debut)
-
SageTroy Smith has never truly gotten a shot in the NFL, so you can't say he sucks.
.............
Multiple Ravens have raved about Troy. And, numerous teams have inquired about Troy's services (and the Ravens refuse to give him up--so clearly they like him). In fact, Troy was probably going to be the starter during Flacco's rookie year, but he caught mono in pre-season and forced Flacco into the role (the rest is history).
Clearly, saying he'd be in the Pro-Bowl is a hyperbole I figured you would pick up on, simply due to its ludicrousness. However, you can't say he sucks. He's still in the league, which is more than Brady Quinn will probably be able to say here soon. -
karen lotzI didn't say that Smith sucks did I?
-
Pick6welcome to the nfl timmy
-
newarkcatholicfanTimmy will be better than quinn is at this level.
-
Pick6yea he has looked better than quinn for sure
-
Pick6that ref had a shit eating grin on his face there lol
-
jordo212000Wow Quinn is bad haha. He looked atrocious tonight. Tebow surprised me, not going to lie.
The Bengals offense should be exciting this year. So many weapons -
tk421Tebow scores his first NFL touchdown, preseason notwithstanding. Vintage Tebow right there, no matter what he accomplishes in the NFL as a passer, defenses will have to worry about him taking off.
-
Azubuike24If the Bengals get slightly improved pass blocking, their offense is going to be a force. They have a TON of weapons on offense. Simpson, Shipley, Greshman, Caldwell, Jones, Scott and even the 3rd stringers...and they aren't even starters. Shipley and Greshman look great for rookies.

could be so, but he ran that nfl player over for a td -

All he needs is his shot. Tom Brady would never have been shit unless he got his. Quinn has had numerous times now. He blows. Suck it up you ND buster.
Lol that's why they went out and signed Marc Bulger. Nice FAIL. -
osu45804Offense looked a lot better tonight.... Hopefully they keep improving and Bryant can get on the field before Week 1

LOL OWNED! -
SpeedofsandI watched the game online, ( www.atdhe.net or www.justin.tv or www.channelsurfing.net ) Tebow had 3rd string protection and still looked decent. The last play TD was nice, but he can't hold the ball out like that while running.

Hb31187Yes Tebow did drop his shoulder and run for that TD....if he tries that against 1st team LB's and Free Safeties, his running days are gonna be very limited haha.
And about Troy Smith....so what if his fellow ravens and the staff think hes good? Do you really think theyd come out and honestly say they thought he was no good? -

How many times have you seen players come out and say how good their backup QBs are? Rarely do you ever. Yes, they won't say he's terrible, but they wouldn't come out and say he's really good...if he's bad, they would simply choose not to talk about him. -
lhslep134How naive are you guys to think Tebow won't be able to run the ball in the NFL?
Once he gets past the d-line the strongest and heaviest players are LBs and the majority of them are in the 235-245 range weight wise.
Do you guys forget Tebow weighs 240? I'll take a 240 lb full speed Tebow against a 240 lb LB not running full speed anyday of the week. Tebow's not 215 lbs, he's 240. Further proof? During his TD run yesterday it was the Bengals player who sat on the ground for a bit after the collision not Tebow. -
queencitybuckeyeA lot of those 240lb linebackers make the 240lb Tebow look like a tub of goo.

Yeah the Bengals BACKUP was on the ground, he was probably some guy whos not even gonna make the team. Have him run into Ray Lewis, Patrick Willis ect...and try to drop his shoulder and he'll immediately regret that decision and learn to get down. -

That remains to be seen. He made one of those 240 lb linebackers his bitch when he ran him over on his way to a touchdown yesterday. Granted, it was a 3rd string LB, but I think it shows he'll be just fine. -

Most of the guys if asked abotu their back up QB would answer the question by the book and say hes a hard working talented guy who if given a shot somewhere else would succeed. Least that would be my guess. -

Agreed. What happens if everyone says a backup sucks and then the starter gets injured? I for one wouldn't want to be in that locker room. -

Haters gonna hate. That "tub of goo" has teammates in Denver that are saying he works out harder than anyone on the team. -
thedynasty1998I just don't understand why people think Tebow won't be able to run because he will get hurt.
He's bigger than most RB's in the NFL, so if there is that risk with Tebow, there is certainly that risk with every other guy in the NFL who has the ball in his hands.
Two of the bigger backs in the NFL:
Steven Jackson - 6'2" 236 lbs
Beanie Wells - 6'2" 228 lbs
Tebow - 6'3" 245 lbs.
