Indians vs. Mariners

grodtFigured I'd just do one thread for the whole series to try to reduce clutter.
Seattle comes in having just fired their coach and reeling from a disappointing season. Here's hoping the Tribe can use that and maintain their lead for 4th place in the Central.
Go Tribe! -
BRFGo Tribe and go grodt! Fausto takes on "Fudge" Packer tonight.
-
BRFWe down 3-2, B6. Go Tribe!
-
BRFgrodt lost the karma. Good try. Who is next?
-
grodtLol my reign lasted about as long as Rosie O'Donnell's last diet. Ah well I gave it the ol' college try.
Frankly the lack of offense, while not surprising with all the injuries we've sustained, is a little disconcerting. Struggling to score against bottom barrel teams like Baltimore and Seattle is never a good sign. -
hoops23Not making excuses, but this type of stuff happens to young teams.
The Tribe just got done playing GREAT ball against the teams over .500, but have since went 1-3 against two of the worst in baseball....
These ups and downs are expected with the youngest team in baseball.. The offense is also missing Carlos Santana. -
newarkcatholicfanGreat ball against teams that are over .500?
That's funny. -
grodtIndians down early 1-0. Mitch Talbot is on the mound tonight. Offense continues their struggles thus far.

Right, still early. I'm glad to see NCF fan back to help keep it interesting. I wish more would not give up and at least chime in. Go Tribe! -
MulvaJosh Bard with a grand slam. Following a Russel Branyan home run earlier in the inning.
Chupamos. -
grodtThat was the first grand slam in Josh Bards career *slams head against wall*
-
BRFJesus, Mary and Joseph! I'll just root for Bard to get a triple on this game, for The Cycle. Bring on the Browns.
-
grodtTribe falls to the Mariners 9-3. Not much positive to say about this game or this recent stretch of losses the Tribe has had.

You may want to check the stats... I think the Tribe was 15-13 in their last 28 against teams .500 or better. -
grodtFrom July 5 until the Baltimore series we played 31 straight games against teams over .500 and went 15-16 in those games. Not to shabby for a team 21 games under .500
-
newarkcatholicfanNot great by a long shot.

Right, because you look at everything negatively regarding the Tribe. STFU.
For a team who is 20 games under and also the youngest in baseball, to go 15-16 in 31 games against .500 teams or better, is GREAT in my eyes. -
hoops23Matt LaPorta just made two AMAZING plays at first base with the bases loaded to get out of the inning...
A++ -
MulvaKing Felix is a beast. Hard to believe the Ms have been as bad as they are considering they started the season with him and Cliff. Similar to the 2008 Indians with Cliff and CC.
I guess one of the worst offenses of all time will do that to you though. -
BRFThanks for putting that nice jinx on Hernandez, Mulva!
-
grodtAtta baby Pronk!
