Anyone else think the Browns can win more than the Steelers?

MulvaI don't think so. I really think the Browns need to start 2-0 in order to just avoid this season being a total disaster.
The 7 opponents the Browns play weeks 3-10 all won at least 9 games last year. Obviously things change year to year in the NFL, but some of them (Jets, Ravens) appear to still be on the rise while others (Steelers, Patriots) are very consistent franchises.
If we don't get some momentum going in the first couple of weeks I think it's going to snowball into a 2-7 type start. -
georgemc80no...in fact the Browns just may be on the clock.

Nonat Tampa - W 1-0
Kansas City - W 2-0
at Baltimore - L 2-1
Cincinnati - W 3-1
Atlanta - L 3-2
at Pittsburgh - W 4-2..we'll give em the benefit of the doubt for now, could be Ben's first game back, might be rusty
at New Orleans - L 4-3
New England - L 4-4
N.Y. Jets - L 4-5
at Jacksonville - W 5-5
Carolina - L 5-6
...or vice versa
at Miami - L 5-7
at Buffalo - W 6-7
at Cincinnati - L 6-8
Baltimore - L 6-9
Pittsburgh - L 6-10
only 6-10 now that I look at it more closely -
NonPittsburgh will be...
Atlanta - W 1-0...won't be easy but I'll say like 23-20 victory
at Tennessee - L 1-1
...either way they'll win one, lose one
at Tampa Bay - W 2-1
Baltimore - L 2-2
Cleveland - L 2-3
at Miami - W 3-3
at New Orleans - W 4-3...after losing one they shouldn't against Cleveland, they'll get one back
at Cincinnati - L 4-4...rough timing coming off the primetime game against the Saints
New England - L 4-5
Oakland - W 5-5
at Buffalo - W 6-5
at Baltimore - L 6-6
Cincinnati - W 7-6
N.Y. Jets - W 8-6
Carolina - W 9-6
at Cleveland - W 10-6
Steelers win their last four to sneak in as a wild card at 10-6 -

THE4RINGZBrowns 7-9
Steelers 10-6 -
hoops23Steelers will not beat New Orleans or the Jets, imo. Browns 8-8, Steelers 9-7.

wubdgI see the Browns at 7-9 and that is if our defense can keep us in games.
Pittsburgh is probably more of a 10-6 team if they can handle not having Big Ben for the first couple games- I hope it stays at 6 games for him! If not 8-8. -
hoops23I think the Browns defense is going to surprise a lot of people this year.

AutomatikI don't see Cleveland winning more than 6, and not a chance in hell Pittsburgh loses 10+......so there is your answer.

Hb31187Steelers beat Atlanta to open the season WITHOUT Big Ben....not likely
-
NateBrowns won't finish with more wins than the Steelers
Steelers will not finish with more than 9 wins. You can take that to the bank. -

Even with Ben out I think it's a toss up.
Atlanta is a good team but the Steelers are at home for opening day, defense will be fresh. Should be a good ballgame. -
georgemc80I wonder if that is love for Atlanta or hate for Pittsburgh....Pittsburgh will beat the Falcons relatively easily.
-
GoChiefsThey can beat Atlanta..sure. Relatively easy? I doubt it.

You're kind of being a homer. Atlanta isn't bad, and Shitsburgh doesn't have Big Ben. The Stillers might win but it isn't going to be "easy". -

Best post on this thread. Maybe the first two games aren't as important for most franchises, but it always seems like it is for the Browns. They are a team that needs to build confidence early. They SHOULD win their first two games, but lets not forget, they are the Cleveland Browns. I don't see it happening, and I don't see them winning more games than the Steelers. -
Commander of AwesomeEveryone remember the first play in 2006 against the Saints? Necktie with the hold bringing back the 65yd TD on the first play to Leon Edwards. That set the tone for the rest of the season, I think we have to get off to a good start, just seems to be that way for the Browns for whatever reason.
-
georgemc80Homer???? I am not a homer....I just know that the Falcons put all their defensive eggs in the Duntae Robinson basket....and I know from experience...he is not that good. I haven't seen the line....and its early...but I would think Steelers -6 would be a bet.

SykotykCan? Yes. Will? Maybe.

NonFor what it's worth, the Steelers have won seven straight openers.
