My early NFL playoff predictions:
-
Pick6I know its early..real early and injuries, trades, and shit happens...but this is my prediction based on what has happened in the offseason thus far.
These are in no order, im just listing the teams:
AFC:
Colts
Bengals
Ravens
Dolphins
Jets
Broncos
NFC:
Saints
Cowboys
Falcons
Packers
49ers
Vikings with Favre, Redskins without..yes i said the redskins
what you guys think? -
Fab1bI'll give it a shot as well:
AFC
Colts
Pats
Ravens
Bengals
Chargers
Jets
NFC:
Saints
Cowboys
Packers
Vikings - even without Favre
Giants
Cards or 49'ers I am torn who wins the NFC West -
LJI don't think a wild card comes from the AFC North
-
IliketurtlesAFC
Colts
Ravens
Jets
Chargers
Pats
Texans
NFC
Cowboys
Saints
Packers
49ers
Vikings
Falcons
Cowboys over Texans in the Super Bowl. -
Hb31187Couple posters picking my Falcons to go the playoffs, I like it. However im not very optimistic about this upcoming seaosn, our offense is Pretty formidable with Gonzalez, White, Turner, Ryan and Norwood....But our defense, especially the secondary....is pretty bad
-
Pick6I started rooting for the Falcons when Michael Vick was drafted by them. I think Ryan will become a top 5 qb in the NFL, if he isnt already. If Turner can stay healthy, I like the chances of them making the playoffs.
-
NonAFC
(1) Baltimore 12-4...they lost a lot of close ones last year, I think this is their year to pull away a little bit
(2) Indianapolis 11-5...still won't lose many in the regular season, five might even be a stretch
(3) N.Y. Jets 11-5
(4) San Diego 9-7
(5) New England 11-5...pretty easy schedule and they're determined because a lot of people are thinking they're done
(6) Pittsburgh 10-6
------------------------------------
Cincinnati 9-7...almost
Houston...a lot to like, but a tough schedule, check it out
Tennessee...I think Vince takes a step back and it kills their momentum
Cleveland 8-8...be careful, could be a sleeper but not enough over a full 16-game season
Denver...yeah they'll battle San Diego but I'll still take the Chargers because of Rivers
NFC
(1) Green Bay 11-5...good record with Rodgers leading the way but everyone will know they're overrated
(2) New Orleans 11-5...should be tougher this year, difficult schedule and that defense won't be as opportunistic
(3) Dallas 10-6...division is too difficult to run away with
(4) Arizona 9-7...still some good weapons for Leinart to work with and I still think Porter will help the defense along with Dan Williams in the middle
(5) Minnesota 10-6...I think Favre will play but it will take some time to gather steam
(6) N.Y. Giants 9-7...several teams fighting for the last spot, G-men slip in
------------------------------
Atlanta...I know they'll be pretty good with Ryan healthy but as HB said, the defense may prevent them from getting that wild card berth
Washington...potential sleeper with Shanahan and McNabb hungry and a pretty good defense but they really lack wide receivers...Joey Galloway is starting?
Chicago...8-8 type
Carolina...8-8 type
San Francisco...8-8 type
AFC Wild Card
(6) Pittsburgh at (3) N.Y. Jets...Steelers win 20-17 (OT)
(5) New England at (4) San Diego...Patriots win 28-14
AFC Divisional Playoffs
(6) Pittsburgh at (1) Baltimore...Ravens win 24-16
(5) New England at (2) Indianapolis...Patriots win 31-30
AFC Championship
(5) New England at (1) Baltimore...Patriots win 27-20
NFC Wild Card
(6) N.Y. Giants at (3) Dallas...Cowboys win 38-20
(5) Minnesota at (4) Arizona...Vikings win 27-10
NFC Divisional Playoffs
(5) Minnesota at (1) Green Bay...Vikings win 24-23...yep, the gunslinger tosses the GW at Lambeau, fans stunned
(3) Dallas at (2) New Orleans...Cowboys win 28-20
NFC Championship
(5) Minnesota at (3) Dallas...Cowboys win 33-16...Favre's run comes to a halt, rough game, Cowboys kind of dominate at home

dokkenEveryone has the Saints very highly regarded. Too much history with defending Super Bowl Champs.

Pick6granted its the preseason and the bills, but the skins are raping them 35-3 right ow in the 3rd
-
NonI think the Skins will be a factor.
They'll be one of those teams that starts pretty well and becomes a big story.
Good defensive players. A motivated coach and QB. Only question is do they have enough offensive weapons around McNabb. -

georgemc80If the Texans find a way to split their first four games (Cushing suspension)...they will be in a good position. In the end, if they split with Indy...they are going to make the playoffs....It is a murderous schedule...thats for sure.

your predictions are impossible, each division winner makes the playoffs. One of those AFC teams have to be the chargers, chiefs, raiders, or broncos. -

If he isn't already...are you serious?!
Drew Brees
Philip Rivers
Eli Manning
Peyton Manning
Tom Brady
Aaron Rodgers
Ben Roethlisberger
Matt Schaub
Those are just the ones I know are inarguable.
Arguably, I would place even a couple more ahead of Ryan right now. -
Iliketurtleslhs if you're going to say guys like Eli, Schaub and Rivers then you'd have to put Romo and Flacco up there as well.
-
Hb31187Lol Eli is SO overrated as a quarterback
-
Iliketurtles
I agree hes overrated still hes better than Ryan. Of course you probably don't share that same view being a Falcons fan.Hb31187;454138 wrote:Lol Eli is SO overrated as a quarterback -

You would be correct in assuming that lol
