  Gator Nation is angry that Emmitt didn't mention Florida. I was disappointed, but not upset. He did show his ego, but overall it was still a great speech. Too bad he couldn't even mention Florida when he talked about finishing his degree as promised to his mom.

  Dick Lebeau mentioned playing for the Buckeyes in his speech. Cris Carter will do the same when he gets in next year. Im just rubbing it in a little, speedofsand.
  
  Some of the Florida/SEC fans have to got to chill out if someone doesnt mention them, Im not saying every single one of them are like that. Every team and league has their good fans and then you have the idiots. It was Emmitts day and it wasnt about the game anymore as far as the speech goes. He did a good job and thanked the fans and former teammates and honoring his family was very well done. To the ones in Gator Nation who felt he should have or needed to mention Florida is completley wrong

  Emmitt just apologized during halftime of the HOF game tonight to Florida and Gator fans for not recognizing them in his speech last night.

  bigtime damage control by Emmitt on tonight's game, Al Michaels set it up with the first question. Emmitt got word of the snub today and twittered an apology, this was better.
