Amazing Indians

  • From the Hills
Congrats to Kenny Lofton. Going into the Indians Hall of Fame today. Coming from the hardwood at Arizona to patroling centerfield for the Indians like no one before him ever had.(sorry Rick Manning) He was a great leadoff hitter and base stealer and was the catalist for some of those great 90s teams.

We didn't do so hot tonight. Maybe tomorrow we bring it back. For the old timers: it was nice of the 6 members of the Indian's Hall of Fame to show up for Kenny's introduction........Sudden Sam, Nagy, Andre, Sandy, Grover and the main man, Rapid Robert.

Nice job creating this thread, now the Tribe sucks again.

It sure does seem that way.

    these things remain a constant:

-David Huff will not make it through the 5th inning
-Jason Donald will not get a hit with runners in scoring position
-Trevor Crowe is an All-Star in the making--bank on it

After the Tribe pushed Boston to the brink a few years ago, I subscribed to MLB Extra Innings on DirecTV so I could watch all of the Tribe games. They since managed to go into the toilet and parted ways with just about every talented veteran they had. This year, however, I am seeing something young and exciting in Cleveland and I look forward to gametime every night once again. I really see these guys as showing real improvement next season and being legitimate contenders in 2012. Maybe they will prove me wrong and surprise everyone next year, but I would be happy with being above .500 and deciding some races. I think the front office could see the younger talent getting serious playing time and that (along with financial considerations) is why they hired Manny Acta. He can work with the youngsters.

^^^^^good post. They still need some more pieces to the puzzle, but the future looks bright with this young core of players!
