Amazing catch

GoChiefsThis was over in Japan...but still a bad ass catch to rob someone of a home run! Definitely one of the best I've seen!

Ironman92Jim Edmonds would've dove.

BlueDevil11This is one of the better ones I have ever seen. Jim Edmonds catch diving backwards on a dead sprint is still the best ever.

justincredibleNot sure why, but I really like the Carp hats.
-
wildcats20^^lol I saw just a head shot of the guy who made the catch the other night(last night?), and I was like damn when did the Reds sign a little Asian guy
-
Ironman92only if he's fast and can't hit or get on base
-
Ironman92THe catches you rarely see into the wall (line drives that aren't going out just hit so hard the OF has to go full speed....leave feet and hit wall......it's rare to even see it.....the one where Griffey broke his ankle is the best example.....they never show it but Andruw Jones made a catch (playing unGodly shallow) and at full speed just a step onto the warning track caught the ball wide receiver like in mid air and as he caught it both feet hit halfway up the wall at the same time....to me the most difficult all-around catch ever made...it was slightly less extension than Edmonds' catch......but having to deal with the wall in a way I'd never seen before or since. I wish I could find it.
IMO....the Griffey catch where he broke his ankle is the 2nd best/most difficult OF catch ever. -

I agree, they always rank that one second or third behind Griffey and/or Mays, but I think the Edmonds catch is by far the best. -
Ironman92Edmonds catch IMO may be the best looking catch ever.......if he would have had to deal with the wall I'd put it first. Ryan Freel may have had a better one while playing RF.
There is no way Willie mays didn't make 10 better catches than the WS grab....he ran 21 steps to catch it which is impressive but I watched Jerry Hairston Jr catch a ball in the LCF gap from center taking 22 steps and having to dive onto the warning track.....in one of his few Reds CF starts.
Willie ran forever and it was a very meaningful play....but no way didn't he top that a dozen times.......Devon White had the best WS catch in CF I've ever seen.
