I wondered if an Indians pitcher was EVER gonna get the balls to hit somebody!!! I thought they should have hit somebody right away for the Santana injury....then they hit Choo....that HAD to be retaliated!!!

    Was thinking the same thing.

If it was intentional sure, but that was clearly nothing more than an accident from a player trying to Score.

    ^Exactly.

If anything you might want to be a little pissed at Santana for blocking the plate the way he did. But you can't be mad at the Sox player one bit. And honestly, Santana had the plate blocked perfectly.

The guy apologized repeatedly...and it was a clean play even if it had a bad ending.

I dont understand why Beltre wasnt ejected as well. There were no warnings issued during the game or anything. Dont get me wrong, anytime Lewis is out of the game thats a good thing but I dont think the ejection was warranted

Beltre should have been gone for taking more than a few steps toward the mound. The guy wasn't even hit.

Beltre started the whole thing...if he doesn't start towards Lewis none of this happens. Yet he didn't get tossed

Was at the game last night .. great stuff. Glad to see some fire from the Sox, 'cause they'll need it with Youk maybe done for the year.

I dunno Lowell filled in pretty nicely last night haha.

That was an awesome moment, the whole stadium was already standing and applauding and then BAM, first pitch, home run. Beyond that though, at the plate, he was definitely rusty. Hopefully he'll come around and prove an amiable replacement for the best or second-best player on the team so far this year (Beltre can also be considered best).

Yeah I agree it was an awesome moment for him I've always been a big Lowell fan ever since he was with the Marlins. I think he will come around I mean when was the last time before last night he had played a game?

At the major league level, he hadn't played since late June. He's been rehabbing in the minors recently.

Actually, as a Tribe fan, I was glad to see the young guys and the coaching staff not be intimidated by the big, bad BoSox. Tom Hamilton called it right....if the Sox wanted to be mad at someone, they should have been mad at Beckett for carrying his past feuds with Shelly Duncan into this game. Beckett fired two straight fastballs into Indians hitters(Duncan and Choo)....these were not 'movement' pitches that got away...nor was Beckett having control issues as he didn't walk anybody all nite. Beckett is a punk, and he proved it last nite.

I've never been a big fan of Beckett. Its too bad that Duncan didnt get a hold of him, he needs a good ass whippin
