Oh really? Because Donaghy and all those other refs he rat out were referees in the late 90's. Nice fail.

I look for Kobe to conserve a little more energy with his stats next year and turn it on as much as he can in the playoffs.

Regular season MVP........LeBron won't drop off much at all in statistics

    LeBron
    Durant
    Howard
    Wade
    Derrick Rose

Not player wise it wasn't, it's always Kobe/LeBron now.

    Lakers 5, Spurs 3, Celts 1, Pistons 1.

Early 2000's, like, the first 2 years.

Would you rather it be Darko and other bums??

Kobe and LeBron are arguably the 2 best players in the World, and you're mad at them getting the limelight?? GTFO

do u know who michael jordan is?
  • mtp2013
Hey WC20, NBA can give others a chance, look at the other major talents. David Stern is a bum.

He was actually one who tried to win, and succeeded.

So Kobe doesn't try? Duncan and the Spurs didn't try? The Pistons didn't try?

What the hell are you talking about?

Kobe, hell all he's gotta do is show up and Stern gives him another title.

Lakers won the title in 00 and 01.

I actually agree with this. I haven't taken the MVP serious since Nash won x2.

The MVP has always been a joke IMO. It should go to the best player in the league, plain and simple. All this shit about best player on a very good team is BS. All this who is more valuable to their team is bs. It's a joke Jordan didn't win more. Some people stop at most valuable to their team, I say screw that, look at the whole league. Who is the most valuable player in the NBA? Which guy has the most value? Who is the most sought after? I'd personally have LBJ #1 on my ballot, but I highly doubt he gets the love he should get as a player this year. If Kobe coasts through the regular season it just may go to Durant if the Thunder can be a top 6 team. If they can't, who the hell knows. Dwight needs to produce on offense more. Melo needs to get the Nuggets to finish strong. CP3 needs the Hornets to do what they did a few years ago. Wade and LBJ probably won't get any respect. Next year could be the most wide open year in a long time. Most MVP races are 90% finished before the first game is played. Media guys get an idea in their head before the season and it takes A LOT to make them change it.

Hell, Durant was getting a lot of love last season, so I can only imagine what he'll get now that LBJ jumped ship to a stacked team.

I honestly think in 2 years Durant surpasses Lebron as the most complete player in the NBA. The guy is just so skilled it's insane. Plus, I think he's more focused, and I don't mean that as an insult to Lebron, I mean it more as a compliment to Durant.

    Kobe didn't win in '08.

He was in the finals and lost. So he showed up but Stern didn't give him the title.
  • mtp2013
^^This year it will be either him or LeBron. He could bring his two pals with him for a guaranteed title opportunity.

Considering you're probably what, 15? You wouldn't even remember basketball in the 90s. Fuck off.

I agree. As much I dislike the guy, Shaq should have won MVP in 2005. Kobe should have won it in 2006.
