    Nice game for Walker and Tabata. They've been fine for being rookies.

    Need more consistency from the rest of the lineup.

    key failings of the Reds tonight:

    Rolen not getting a force out on what was ruled a double with one out and one on in the 2nd.

    Leak giving up a hit to the pitcher followed by hitting McCutcheon turning what would have been a zero without the Rolen miscue into a set-up for a six run inning.

    Rolen not getting Janish in from 3rd with one out in the 7th.

    After Rolen leads off the 9th with a single and is the tying run, Gomes going after the first pitch, a breaking ball, and popping up.

    Gomes in the 9th just barely missed it but a miss is a miss.
