Unintended Consequence???

The Miami Heat have fired 30 members of their sales staff. The Heat have a 6000 person waiting list for season tickets and no longer a ticket sales staff. Maybe, Lebron wii hire some of theses fired workers.

Lebron probably had them fired so the Heat could give his boys high paying jobs in the organization.

I'd imagine this may have some truth behind it.

One of my friends was on the Heat sales staff from the summer of 2008 until this past spring. They couldn't give away the season tickets when he worked for them, now they sold themselves and they literally eliminated the entire department. Luckily he has another job now that he likes better (college athletic department)

    Makes sense with their fans.

Agreed. Most organizations would probably do the same thing?

Wouldn't doubt it, in fact I would almost bet hi friends have solid jobs now. If Windhorst hadn't said some negative towards him in the post season/off season I bet he'd be writing in Miami as well.

The one guy who I can truly applaud in all of this who didnt give in is the Chicago Bulls owner by telling these guys that they werent going to come in there and take over the organization.

Although it sucks that those people lost their jobs, it's just part of the game. You do whatever it takes to make Lebron/Bosh/Wade happy. If that means giving their people jobs paying them $100k a year or whatever it will be, that's small scale considering what they are paying in payroll. Plus, the people in the ticket office might have the easiest job in sports now, because they will certainly be selling out most games without any advertising or promotions.

Sadly that's how it works, but where is the integrity in that? People who actually worked hard and went to college to obtain such a job VS. idiots who ride LeBron's nuts to mooch off him and make a living off him.

That's the real world though, it's not always what you know, it's who you know. Lebron is powerful enough to get stuff like this done, and his friends are better off for it. And stuff like this happens at the highest level of a franchise, so why shouldn't we expect it to happen at the bottom as well. If a superstar doesn't like his coach, he's fired. If a superstar backs a certain trade, it's more likely to get done. So if a superstar is looking for jobs for his boys, why shouldn't we expect that to happen as well?

They sold all their season tickets, and they are no longer needed. LMAO @ the ones saying it's for LeBron and his friends. If you are not needed at your job..are they going to keep you around? Probably not. Hell, I know when my work slows down, I get laid off! It's called business. There aren't anymore tickets to sell. Hell, they even hired a company to find the people full time jobs. Who else is going to do that?

Yea just heard Cowherd talking about it. These are not for Lebron's boys, they just don't have a need for these people anymore.
