I don't get it. You say Reds aren't getting any respect. I try to give them respect. I get told not to??? -
darbypitcher22a critical seires nonetheless, being a short 3 games before the Reds head off to Pittsburgh and Chicago, who's been playing much better since the break

I agree with what your saying....But I don't get how they are not getting any respect. All of the MLB reporters are saying they are going to make it into the playoffs, and they have one of the best lineups in baseball..What more do you want. -

Should be good for about 13 runs off Medlen. Is the game officially sold out yet or has it at least met the blackout requirements so I can watch the Braves telecast? -
davewhy would there be blackout requirements?

I watch Braves games on MLB.tv with their broadcasters through my PS3. Since I'm in the Reds TV market, if the game isn't sold out I can't watch it. -

Does TBS carry Braves games anymore? I was just thinking about that, and don't recall seeing any Braves games on.karen lotz;436892 wrote:I watch Braves games on MLB.tv with their broadcasters through my PS3. Since I'm in the Reds TV market, if the game isn't sold out I can't watch it. -
karen lotzNope. Turner sold the team in 2007 and they haven't been on TBS regularly since then. It sucks.

mhs95_06Braves and the ump really making Cueto work with 55 pitches thru 3 innings, although 4 pitches of them shouldn't count with the IBB. Runner on 2B with one out 3 innings in a row finally gets the Braves a run to take the lead. The shame is in that scoring 3rd, Cueto had Prado, the lead-off hitter in the 3rd, struck out, but the ump didn't call it! The pitch trax showed the whole ball within the box on the low outside corner. With Prado out, there would have been none on and two out for Chipper who singled in Prado for the run who was undeservedly on 2nd with one out! Electronic strikes are badly needed for fairness in the game!

mhs95_06Reds get a cheap, but legit, run on a two out single, balk, and a blooper that falls, the take then lead with a gapper by Votto to RCF. Good thing there were two outs on both those hits as neither runner would have scored on each of those hits had they not had the two out jump on balls in the air to the OF.
-
karen lotzUmp also missed the balk call moving Phillips to second so he could score on Cabrera's weak pop up. It wouldn't have mattered as it turns out since Votto doubled but it seems like the balk has gotten Medlen out of his rhythm. He had been going pretty well up until that point.
-
karen lotzIt might be time to sit Glaus for a while. He has fallen off hard at the plate and is still clueless at first. Sit him for a couple weeks to get his legs back healthy and then see what he can do.
-
mhs95_06And Rolen sprays one past Glaus at 1B to get Votto in with a third big two out RBI to make it 3-1. Cueto needs to keep his focus and try to be more pitch efficient with a two run lead. Need at least 6 innings out of him.

I thought they got the balk correct as he stepped back, but not far enough to get behind the rubber. -

I thought the home plate called the pitches correctly. -
mhs95_06Cueto getting better! This time the one out runner is on 1B rather than 2B!
-
mhs95_06Cueto gets out of the two on two out situation, but he's up to 72 pitches, and effectively an average of 17 per inning.

Tiger2003Nationals 5 Phillies 0... After 5
Oswalt has hit 2 and walked 2. Has given up 7 hits. Oswalt was rocked by these same Nationals back on Memorial Day! -
mhs95_06McCann with a Votto-like 2 run homer to LCF for a 3-3 tie in the 5th.
-
karen lotzThanks go out to Thom for that HR. As pitch was being delivered he said that Cueto has handled McCann with ease so far tonight.
-
Tiger2003Phillies cut the lead to 5-1... On a solo HR by Jayson Werth. Phillies have a runner at 1st with one out. Nationals are doing a pitching change.
-
mhs95_06Game getting away from Cueto and the Reds with the HBP of the pitcher to load the bases for the Braves with no out!
-
mhs95_06This will be a real test for Bray to face Heyward, Chipper, and McCann, two lefties and a SH with 1st and 3rd and one out in a one run game!
