Reds @ Brewers--Game 3... 2:20 first pitch

  • CinciX12
    87 stolen bases?!? Wow.
  • Ironman92
Good God...use super sub or that Jimmy Kimmel guy and give Bruce or Stubbs a day off....or maybe even Gomes or dare I say it Phillips
  • Ironman92
87 was about his average for about 10 years
  • CinciX12
No no no. No one gets an off day before an off day.
  • Ironman92
    Rickey Henderson's speed/legs = Nolan Ryan's arm/speed
  • Ironman92
    Our best leader does

No? I'm at work and can't watch the game?
  • Laley23
Roledn just missed like 12 days. He comes back and goes 4/4 his second game back. Then he gets a day off before an off day...SMMFH. The 2 weeks of rest werent enough for him to go 3 straight days????

I am sick and tired of Welsh and Brennamen. Where the hell is Keels at?

Right where he belongs...as far from the FSO baseball booth as possible.

    Keels is awful.
  • CinciX12
    No way, I like keels.

And also a question I have never asked before. The tv guys never speak badly about any of the players and neither do the radio guys. Are they employees of the Reds and I don't realize this? Is this why they can't talk poorly about them. Because i'll be damned if I don't mention the Rolen decision today on the air. To me if they are FSO and WLW employees the players and manager, mainly manager, are fair game. Granted Baker won't be so forthcoming with interviews then.

    LOL @ Travis Wood
  • Azubuike24
Not sure why you say that. The Brennaman's have made a career of questioning players, coaches and decisions made. Chris Welch will speak his mind as well. Same with Jeff Brantley. The only guys who followed the company line 100% of the time was George Grande and he was by far the worst of the entire bunch.
  • SportsAndLady
    Straight dealin
  • CinciX12
Seriously? Where is this coming from? 5 straight K's.

Eh I guess my pessimistic attitude doesn't like them. They occasionally bring something up but then the other always defends it. Its like they are always worried about the 'company line' to me. That might just be me though.

    kidding you S&L

    Rickie Weeks vs Rickey Henderson

Here is the stolen base numbers of Henderson with game played in ( )

    33 (89)
    100
56 (missed 50 games due to strike)
    130 (149...that's right)
    108 (145)
    66 (142)
    80 (143)
    87
    41 (95)
    93 (140)
    77
    65 (136)
    58 (134)
    48 (117)
    53 (134)
    22 (87....missed 50 games due to strike)
    32 (112....missed 20 games due to strike)
    37
    45 (120)
    66 AT AGE THIRTY NINE
    37 (121)
    36 (123)
    25 (123....oh and age 42)
    8
    2

Weeks career high OB% for a season .374........Henderson topped that 19 times
Weeks career high stolen bases 25....Henderson only did that 22 times....would've been 23 but strike cost him.

Rickey Henderson DESPITE missing all those games was the all-time leader in stolen bases in baseball history.....at age 31

Any similarities between Henderson and Weeks in a particular stat or two is completely negated by those stats

I agree with all this except the Welch part. He is about as much of a company man as you can get. He will rarely question a player, but will never disagree w/ any decision Dusty makes.
  • osu45804
    Cabrera got LUCKY
  • Azubuike24
Welch may not question Dusty, but he will certainly call out a player for not hustling or for a bad approach. Or he will criticize an umpire or player for a horrible decision.

CincyX12, I guess a lot of this changes if you ever have access to MLB Extra Innings or MLB.TV. Listening to the broadcasts of many other teams, it gives you a totally different perspective on where the FSO crew stands. They are pretty neutral relatively speaking.
  • CinciX12
I think thats the thing, other than the occasional Indians game on STO and the ESPN guys I don't hear anything else.
  • osu45804
Well 2 on w/ nobody out and come away w/ nothing.....
  • CinciX12
If we dont score a run today I think its solely because Travis Wood just has bad karma.

Dont take anything Matt Underwood says to mean anything. He is an idiot, and is probably afraid he will be fired if he questioned anyone within the organization...and he is probably right. Rick Manning will give you an "I dont understand this" quite often, and usually Underwood gives him some retarded excuse as why it might happen. Manning laughs and says "no way". Makes me lol everytime.
