T.O. Has Signed With Cincinnati

The Steeler running game will be the X-factor this year IMO. If the defense stays healthy......a strong rushing attack will complement it well. Could be the difference between winning the division and a losing record.Prescott;434440 wrote:This always leads to intelligent debate.
T.O. can be huge pick-up for the Bengals. Last year, their offense was not very explosive and T.O. has the ability to change that. He can be a distraction, but if he puts personal numbers aside and puts the team first the Bengals have a very scary recruiting corp.
I am not real positive about the Steelers this year. While the Ravens and the Bengals have improved their teams with free agent signings, the Steelers chose to trade Santonio Holmes for next to nothing and they have lost Willie Colon to injury. The return of a healthy Polamalu and Aaron Smith should help the Steelers avoid the 4th quarter collapses they had last year, but Roethlisberger's suspension has put the Steelers in a very precarious position.
The AFC north is going to be very interesting this year.It is a great division with some very good teams. -
PrescottWith all that happened to the Steelers last year, I think they make the playoffs if their kick coverage doesn't collapse. It got to the point where I was waiting for their opponent to bust a long return that either kept them in the game or won the game outright. It was inexcusable and a problem that needs to be solved.

Pick6Look im not saying the Steelers suck, even though I hate them there is no doubt in my mind that they can compete. The running game is meh to me, mendenhall, moore?, dwyer? I just dont think it will be what is was when parker was healthy. The same can be said about the steelers defense that rock is saying about t.o...they are 2 years older and 2 years slower. I think the secondary is a weak spot, especially when it seems Polamalu is at the LOS more than in coverage. The AFC North is like the the Cowboys divison..you have 3 good teams, and there really is only room for 2 of them to make it, and I think they Steelers will be at home the 1st week of the playoffs.

So you think that the Steelers will earn a 1st round bye in the playoffs?!?! Now you're comin' around!
In regards to the running game....Mendenhall showed some flashes last season. If he continues to get better and hold onto the ball...and even though Colon is out...Pouncey could provide a boost to the o-line and consequently the rushing attack. Moore is a 3rd down back and I don't mind him. He plays hard and occasionally makes a play on effort alone. Dwyer.....that remains to be seen. That unit has potential IMO. -

Make sure you bring this thread back up Cock InMe later when the Steelers are 4-8. That'll be a dandy of a read..similiar to another scenario that is EEEERILY similiar to this one....YALL JUST WAIT THE ITALIANS HAVE WON 4 WORLD CUP TITLES THEY WILL DEFINITELY FINISH FIRST IN THEIR GROUP AND BE IN THE DISCUSSION FOR ANOTHER WORLD CUP TITLE...IZZURIIII!!!!

Quite frankly you are either incapable of reading comprehension or are so blindly ignorant that you are permanently set on defending your misguided predictions. I hope it is latter and not both.
Who's making predictions? I suggest you brush up your fucked up reading skills Einstein! Hood is a #1 pick, he's expected to live up to it and he will see the field.......you too stupid to understand that? -

2.an instance of this; prophecy.
Homeschooling in a trailer park only takes a person so far. -

I'm not sure the Steelers will even make it that far.
At this point the AFC North is:
Ravens
Bengals
Steelers
Browns.
I don't know if Mendenhall can stay healthy for even 1/4 of the season, they lost Holmes and they have the Big Ben issue. It is the Ravens' division to lose, with Flacco, Rice, Boldin, a legitimate D, etc. -

by at home the first week of the playoffs, i meant eliminated ...If this was the old Ravens D, I would put them ahead of everybody, but they have 2 key injuries to that secondary that has left them extremely vulnerable against the Bengals. I think the Ravens will have a heck of an offense this year though. -

Really? You don't think Roethlisberger's suspension will be that big of a blow (no pun intended) The Ravens and Bengals will be fighting for the division IMO.
For what it's worth the Ravens lost Dominique Foxworth for the season due to an ACL injury today. Big loss there, he started all their games last season
