Is the Tribe being inspired by the passing of "Lou Brown"?

  • BRF
Tribe looking for sweep against the Tigers. Could the news of Lou Brown be inspiring them? Something is going on. Tribe up 6-2 in the top of the 8th. Did I hear that "Moon Pie" has an inside the park home run? LaPorta with a triple? Good bull pen work? What is going on here?

Look out the window...a few pigs are flying by.

    I just saw one!

Tribe wins! 4 Game winning streak!

They'll probably go to Minnesota and lose 3 in a row now.

"And whatever you do, don't give them one of those 'Win one for Lou' speeches"

I have to admit that watching JP leg out an inside the park job was one of the highlight's of the season. There's a lot of guys on this site that don't respect Peralta....I'm not one of them.

Great start to the 2nd half.

Have to admit, this sweep was sweet. My brother's a Tiger fan.....lol

Gomez looked good...too bad it was just a spot start. He deserves another.

And the bullpen was lights out the whole series.

This is par for the course for the Tribe. They always play better in the 2nd half when they are way out of it. Then Shapiro always gives the end of season speech about how the 2nd half success will serve as a big spring board into next year.

At least there's no one left for him to trade this year.

he's already on his way back to Columbus.

The Tigers officially reek. No team that plays as badly with as much to gain deserves to even be in contention. It amazes me how Detroit can consistently, year after year after year, do things like this. But they do!!!!!

Congratulations to the Tribe. Detroit's line-up probably beats the Tribe in at least 6 spots and maybe even more, but Cleveland showed more gumption in three innings than Detroit showed all weekend.

By the way, Footwedge, those pigs you saw were probably wearing Tiger uniforms.

Gumption.....now THAT'S a good old word! ;-). I was wondering if we would hear from good old Swamp Fox!

Yeah, but the differences are this year it's the young guys who will actually be here next season putting in the work, not the guys we're about to trade off/let go at the end of the season.

I really think, if we can add another solid starter and a couple more arms in the BP, that the Tribe can contend in THIS division next year. 2012 is when they should really be expected to contend though.

i never thought i'd see the day where "jhonny peralta" and "inside the park home run" would be mentioned in the same sentence

Every time we win, we peel a section.
