Another fun one to be at, just bought tix to 6 more games tonight. The lady said ticket sales are crazy and they are expecting to average over 30k the rest of the year.

You can always count on Cincinnati to show up on free shit night. While part of me wants them to average 35k+ the rest of the season, it just proves the point that this city is majority fair weather fans.

^^^imo, Cincinnati is the absolute farthest thing from FWF.......
despite the fact that the Reds have not even whiffed the playoffs for 15 years, they continue to sell-out opening day, have the absolute greatest season-opening fiesta of any city with the Findlay Market Parade; and have some of the most knowledgable and die-hard fans of any major-league sport......

the Reds also command the attention of the entire tri-state area.....there are fans far from downtown that live and die with the Reds and have listened to Marty (and Joe) describe every pitch for the past 30 years.

Reds fans approach every year as if This might be the year......

and.............hey, This might be the year..............

if not, wait 'til next year.
and...I will be there on Opening Day.

Show me any city with a similar metro population that will sellout every game when they've sucked for a decade. Reds fans are not fair weather fans. Reds fans are sick of shitty baseball.

Yeah, the Cubs sellout every game but the population is enormous.

Reds fans aren't, Bengal fans ARE. I remember the 07' Browns-Bengals game in PBS when Browns fans outnumbered Bengal fans 2 to 1. Bengal fans were selling their tickets off like crazy

funny thing is, I heard a few days ago that Wrigley Field has had a lot of open seats at the ballpark lately. I think it was the Reds series. Chris Welsh was telling Reds fans to buy some tickets

I wish those knowledgeable fans would sit closer to me......I always get stuck by the beer-guzzling, preppyish dumbasses that talk about dumb shit the whole game and then name ridiculous answers for the scoreboard trivia and then bellow out "Saaaaboooooo" about every 20 minutes.

I totally forgot that was in Beerfest. I was making a Step Brothers reference. (around the 20 second point)
