Mo takes shot at Wade/Durant takes shot at competitive spirit in the NBA...

I just wanted to see who you consider the national media to be. Like another poster said, I'm pretty plugged in and I haven't heard all that much negativity

Seriously? Read the threads. The articles are EVERYWHERE.

I'm not going to repost 100 links for you when all you have to do is look at the threads. Seriously, you're not that stupid, are you?

And what kind of dumbass thought is it to see who I thought the national media is? Obviously it's the guys who write for national outlets, no?

Just because somebody works for the national media does not mean they are a good writer or correct. Like I said, I didn't want to scour through all the threads looking for a few links. I'll take your word for it though, apparently some people in the media thinks it is bad for basketball. I guess these people haven't checked out the TV ratings from years past.

LOL. That's funny because the fan opinion hasn't been that great either...

I'm sure you love it as a "casual fan" AKA bandwagoner, but a lot of us don't.

Like I said, if LBJ spurned us for NY or CHI and actually did it respectfully, I wouldn't have cared in a sports sense.. I would understand that move. Especially going to Chicago where he'd still be the guy, but would have a great cast with him as well.

Instead, he traded his legacy in for the chance to ring-chase with a top 3 player.

I like balance and I like player rivalries. What saved the NBA was Magic vs Bird, not "Super teams"... People forget how bad the NBA was doing before that rivalry saved it.

Heat and Magic are in the same region.

I noticed you've stopped responding to my questions, like where you contradict yourself every other post. And sure, Magic vs. Bird was a great rivalry, supplemented by at 4 other HOFers who helped them get all those titles. If Magic and Bird happened to land on say, the Clippers and Pacers, this conversation would have a distinctly different tone - because the rivalry would've never happened. People have wanted to see Kobe vs. LeBron for a couple years now. It wasn't going to happen with LeBron in Cleveland. Now it might. People will love it, whether you do or not.

People wanted to see Kobe vs. LeBron with both of them being the leaders of their teams. LeBron has decided to move to a supporting role, so you won't see it.

Maybe we'll find out, maybe we won't. I like LeBron's odds better than I did at this time last year. And as usual, I feel you are confusing your own personal hopes and shattered dreams as those of the world's population. If it goes down, people outside of Cleveland won't give a shit.

I didn't mean the division or conference they are in. I was just saying that now instead of the Cavaliers being one of those 4 championship contenders, Miami has now replaced them. NE Ohio to South Florida, hence all that region talk

I think you missed my point. The Lakers and Heat could play in the finals, but the leaders of the teams will be Kobe and Wade.

Yeah, I know what you meant. And I know you are hoping that it plays out that way. You want so badly for LeBron to somehow take a step down in all this so it makes it seem like a bad move. I'm saying, if they win, LeBron will get his due. Talk about the "the guy", talk about the legacy. The only thing that is going to prevent LeBron from being both is if they don't win.

Hate to disappoint you, but it is Wade's team.

Can we see this team play before you automatically declare who's team this is?

It was the same situation. :) We all knew that the Lakers, Cavs, Celtics, and Magic were probably going to be competing for the championship. Everybody else was just bystanders. Seriously, who thought the Hawks were going to win the Finals? Like it or not, the NBA has never been a league where the resources are spread evenly. I argue this all the time when comparing it to be baseball. Idiots talk about MLB not having parity, but baseball has had more parity in the past 10 years than the NBA has
I haven't read this whole thread yet but I wanted to reply to this quote... Jordo is so correct its not even funny. I remember hearing a stat on Mike and Mike last week that was since 1980 there have only been 8 teams to win an NBA championship. 8 teams have won the super bowl in the NFL since 2000 and 8 teams have won the world series since 2001. There is no parity in the NBA ever year its 5 or 6 teams who have a shot at winning the finals and thats it.

Wade will always have 1 more title, Wade will always be a Heat player for 7 more years, Wade has been the face of the franchise.....It's Wade's team no question
