I'm not gonna lie, I pitched a tent. If they do land Lee I'll be sporting a tent for at least a week.

See...other teams have opportunities to trade for a player like this as well. All of that hate being spewed at the Yankees for making a play for Lee but a big pat on the back for the Reds. LOL

    Everybody loves an underdog.

Not a Reds fan, but I would love to see Lee end up there. Would really be a great addition.

I opened the link and what did I see? "Rangers aquire Cliff Lee from Mariners"

I'm happy that he went to the Rangers if he couldn't be a Red.

Is this payback for the Reds taking 2 of 3 from the Metropolitans, BAB??

Just checked espn news and there wasn't anything about a rangers trade

EDIT: Looks like it is official now. Rangers got him for Justin Smoak and a few others.

Had a short glimmer of hope for Ohio, but nope, another FU.

I'm glad the Rangers got him over the Yankees, while I would have loved to see him in Cincy.
  • wildcats20
I would have LOOOOOOOVED to see this happen, obviously.

But as others have said, I'm glad to see him go to Texas. Great addition.

Would have been great if Cincy got him.
I agree better anyone than the evil empire.

Another FU? This isn't about Cleveland. There are players that WANT to play in Cincinnati. ;)

it's true..no one wants to play in a shitty city like Cleveland

Lee is making a solid living out of joining World Series contenders halfway through the season. Not a bad gig.
