Miami Heat will NOT win the NBA Title next year

  My thoughts exactly....And you could almost see that growing concern on Riley's face as the boasting and proclamations became more grandiose.

  LOL, I noticed that look too. As LBJ was rattling off the number of rings Delonte bought Gloria, Pat Riley had a "STFU" grin on his face..
  
  This "Super team" definitely hurt my interest in the NBA, and I know jpake doesn't understand, because it was his team that benefits... But I just don't think 3 of the top 10 players should be on the same damn team.. The NBA lacks parity to begin with, especially when 2 teams have won over half of the championships..
  
  No small market teams win either. Hell, San Antonio is probably the smallest market to win multiple titles, and they were lucky to get a "quiet" superstar who didn't give a shit about the big lights. They also drafted well.
  
  In the end, the only interest in the Heat will most likely be in year 1. People will want to see if they implode, fail, or succeed in winning a title.
  
  I also think that the way Miami just built a team has destroyed the NBA. There will no doubt be a lockout after next season and the salary cap and everything else will be restructured. This may be the last "Super Team" we see...
  
  At least, if the owners and David Stern love the NBA that is...

  Miami will get hammered down low by the Lakers, Magic, and Celtics. I like Bosh but he is not as good as he has made out to be over the past month. He has been All NBA SECOND team TWICE in 7 years and never won a playoff series. I'm not sure he is a top 5 PF in the league right now and he is not a banger down low. They added Mike Miller but he is bound to get hurt and I doubt he shoots 48& on 3's again. Adding Iverson would be a step back and so would Shaq. If any of their "big 3" get hurt, especially Lebron or Wade, they are screwed. They will probably get a title during this 5 year stretch of time but not next year.

  If the Miami Heat do not win the NBA Championship this coming season, I can't begin to describe how disappointed I will be for Pat Riley. It will hurt me to the very core.

  I don't expect them to win it NEXT season, but I can see it within the next 2-3 years.

  Has anyone noticed the power in the NBA has completely shifted to the East? The East has the Bulls, Celtics, Magic, and Heat. The West has the Lakers and Thunder.
  
  If the Heat don't get some big guys (and Shaq and Z are just too old to be of any use. Shaq clogged the lanes last season against Boston, it was ugly to watch). I can see the Lakers destroying them. But the Bulls, Celtics, and Magic will also be tough, maybe too tough.

  Nah man, I totally understand. Believe me, I'd much rather see the days of DWade carrying good role players like Haslem, 'Toine, Zo, etc. I'd love to see the top 20 players in the league all have their own team with good help around them. That's good basketball each night. But it's just my opinion that the game changed when the Lakers and Celtics found a way to get 3-4 and even 5 all-stars (at one time) on a roster that were decently close to their prime. Everybody was pissed when the Lakers made that move. People were pissed when the Celtics did. The Heat aren't the first team to do it, they just upped the anty a bit because what others before them did. Pat didn't take chances, he wants a ring. So he packed in as much as he could. I don't think the NBA is as bad off. I think the finals between the Heat/Lakers would be epic. You've got great teams like the Celtics and Magic still there. You've got the young teams in the Thunder and Blazers. I still think basketball will be good. But yet, I think it's to the point where people may write two teams name in marker to begin the year instead of doing it in pencil. I'm NOT writing off the Magic and Celtics, the Heat have A LOT of work to do. Those other teams have some damn good stars and chemistry. Yeah my team has great potential, but they havn't done jack shit.
  
  As for the rally, it was ok. I was excited and they very much were. There was some things said that they might regret a bit once they come back down to earth. No worse than some of the stuff we've said as fans on here. But it was a very exciting moment for them, I'll let it slide. If they do that shit during the season you'll hear me call them out for sure. I don't like that type of shit, never did when LBJ and the Cavs did 'fun' stuff. You're at work, be a fuckin' pro for christ sake. From what I've heard from Bosh, I like the dude a lot. He isn't getting too hyped up, like LBJ is. Wade is just telling the truth-- there's a target on their heads and he loves it, he's got his gun aimed right at their heads as well.

  I agree. Jordan didnt play with Bird or Magic, he played against them and the NBA was better because of it.
  
  It pains me to say it but its only a matter of time before that team wins a title. We have never seen a team like this. The Celtics big 3 doesnt even compare in my opinion. KG, Allen and Pierce are great players but there was never a time when 2 out of the 3 were considerred the best players in the league. These guys are superstars in their prime.
