Cleveland: We have the Drive, the Fumble and now.....

cruiser_96What will we be calling this in the future, The Decision? The day LBJ made Cleveland - or worse, the day he left Clevend??
Anyone have any fancy titles for today's decision??? -

Commander of AwesomeDumbest LBJ thread, Good Job!

JugheadI call this one "The Betrayal"
-
SykotykSadly, LeBron seemed to have a sick sense of humor, as he's already 'Clevelandized' the name. "The Decision"
Motherfucker, there were better ways to leave your wife for the 18-year old intern with the big tits than on a one-hour national television special. -

Hulk SmashLeBetrayal?

gutThere is no pride, justification or respect for going the mercenary route to chase a championship. Try to justify it all you want, Lebron, there is no polishing that turd of a decision.
Sorry, but when guys become mercenary whores it devalues the accomplishment of winning a championship. That said, maybe Lebron develops the same view as Kobe if he finally gets a ring, which is namely that now you go do it by yourself to claim your place among the true greats. -
Fly4FunIt will be known as The Betrayal to any Cleveland fan.
Others will call it The Decision. But it is most definitely The Betrayal.
Also, I think LeBron has permanently tarnished his image. There is no chance of him being the GOAT. That title will remain with MJ. I don't care how many championships he wins or what stats he put up. He whored himself out and needs to chase a championship. The GOAT builds championships and earns them... doesn't chase them. -

I fully agree. I think for the reason you just said CHI would have been a better choice. -

Hulk SmashA player changing teams to better position himself for a championship doesn't devalue anything.
The fact that he was not getting any closer to a championship in Cleveland is total justification for making a move.
Any player that really wants to win a title is not going to be stupid enough to stay with one team that is never going to win one.
The Bulls were getting closer year after year........in the late 80's anybody with a slight clue could see a championship in their near future.
If the Bulls were going backwards like the Cavs Jordan would have left his first team too but that wasn't happening.
Do you really think MJ would have stayed with a franchise that wasn't getting the supporting cast he needed to start winning titles?
He couldn't win with just anybody as proven by the fact that it took seven years to win his first title. MJ never once got past the first round without Scottie Pippen.
Where's is LeBron's Scottie Pippen? Kevin McHale, James Worthy........whomever...pick your second fiddle......where is that other hall-of-famer for LeBron?
The Cavs never got him, unless you want to count the advanced-age version of Shaq.
LeBron has been in Cleveland for seven years, he took this franchise from the shithole to the NBA finals in 2007.
Since then they have been going backwards.
He could stay in Cleveland, put up great numbers and watch the NBA finals on television for the rest of his career or make a move to a franchise that will give him the help he needs instead of just hoping LBJ can do it by himself.
