Lebron's LeLottery.....where is he LeGoing?
-
wes_mantoothAll but one of the presentations are done and he supposedly will come to a decision by the end of the weekend. Final say....
WHOSE JERSEY WILL HE BE WEARING IN 2010-11? -

jordo212000Seems to me as if he is going back to Cleveland.
Chicago is flirting with Wade, Miami is in disarray, the Knicks got outdone by the Nets, and the Clippers are the Clippers. I'd say the only other realistic destination is New Jersey with Avery Johnson, Prokhorov, and Jay-z. -
devil1197The place he was going to all along, the Cleveland Cavaliers.
-
wes_mantoothAt one point, I really thought Chicago had done everything necessary and he would end up there.....but now, I think he signs with the Cavs.
-
devil1197Cleveland always had all the major cards imo.
-More $$$ when the CBA is redone, can't leave $30 million on the table.
-A true legacy when he brings Cleveland a title, all it is going to take is 1 title. He'll be forever known as the player that got it done.
-An owner who has PROVEN to do whatever it takes, no talk like NJN/Chicago imo.

#1- definitely true. Although not a factor if Lebron only takes a 3 yr contract
#2- Haha Lebron has never said he wants to be the hero of Cleveland and have his own tearjerking Lifetime Movie. He wants to be a global icon.
#3- Please Gilbert hasn't proven anything yet. He gets so much credit and for what? The team hasn't won anything yet. I'd actually argue he is hurting the team with his meddlesome ways. Under his reign that have been one of the most short-sighted NBA franchises.
#4- IMO this is the money ball. That's what gives Cleveland the edge. -

#2- LeBron guaranteed Cleveland a title, said he would do it before he left. Global icons cannot be made in "lower" markets like Cleveland. Well go ask Gilbert's friend Mr. Warren Buffet how his big market of Nebraska has helped him become a billionaire. But I am pretty sure he told LeBron that when Gilbert himself got him into the conference to talk to Warren.
#3- Gilbert has done everything in his power to win, that's the point. He has never said no to trying to help the team, he has trusted Ferry and others to go out and get the talent, he writes the checks. A lot of owners talk strong but when it comes to writing checks their pens are dry, not with Gilbert. Yes, Cleveland hasn't won a title but it hasn't been from the lack of effort from Gilbert.
#4- You really believe that being at home has no factor in LeBron staying, end of discussions with you then because thats the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. -
IggyPride00He's going to sign a 5-6 year deal likely, but whatever he signs will almost certainly have an opt-out clause for after season 3.
That will ensure he doesn't end up like KG stuck in a situation that he can't win in for the entire duration of his prime. -
hoops23He's staying home.

Last night, I was watching Friday Night Fights and the announcers started randomly talking about LeBron and how Teddy Atlas would have loved to started training him back when he was 16 or so. So maybe he watched that and is now preparing to take the heavy weight division by storm. GOOD-BYE KLITSCHKOS!!!!! -

#2 is a mighty big assumption that he can ever get it done.devil1197;409966 wrote:Cleveland always had all the major cards imo.

#4. If it were me, I'd want to get my ass as far away from Gloria as I could. -

Reading comprehension is your friend! Take a deep breath and read carefully before you flip a lid. -
thedynasty1998Not sure why people think it's even possible for Lebron to win a title in Cleveland. The roster isn't good enough and unless they make some major moves, they are not going to win a championship. Lakers, Boston, Orlando, Oklahoma City and then either Miami or Chicago could all make the case for being a more serious title contendor.
I don't really get the fascination with Gilbert either. He has supported one bad personnel move after another. Just because he writes the checks doesn't mean he is a great owner. -
ytownfootballWhy the fuck shouldn't fans expect a damn championship in Cleveland? Somebody explain to me why it is this fan should expect less with the leagues top player and an owner who spends money? Because hey haven't won in a long time? They're cursed? STFU...
You got the best fuckin' 20/20 hindsight on this fucking board dynasty. Gilbert and Ferry made the best possible move for WHAT WAS AVAILABLE AT THE TIME. Our starting lineup at tip against Chicago was the first time they were on the floor together as a unit...yet you expected perfection? Jesus, Mary and Joseph please shut your mouth and quit repeating the same "woe is Cleveland" bullshit you've done forever. Same goes for the Bucks, your shtick is lame old and obtuse, boring. -
thedynasty1998Again, I'll apologize for not being a homer. Didn't know that was a requirement.
So, you think if the Cavs resign Lebron, they win a title in the next 3 years, with that current roster?
Who said anything about hindsight? I've been saying the same things all along.
And what are you talking about with the Bucks? Get over yourself. -
BR1986FBIt is kinda funny how the Cavs were EVERYONES "team to beat" heading into the playoffs, get Shaq (who along with Mo was their albatross) and Jamison on the floor together for pretty much the first time, Varejao injures his back and they shit the bed....suddenly they are the weak stepsister of the East. Pretty funny. Horrible situation for ANY player to come to.LOL
-
hoops23This roster is good enough to win the title. They are a piece, maybe two away from doing so.

Exactly, guys like thedynasty are idiots, point blank.
You don't win 60+ games two years in a row with a "bad roster"...
Not only that, but nobody seems to acknowledge that
1) Shaq and Antawn NEVER played with each other until the playoffs began.
2) Mike Brown completely fucked up Antawn's effectiveness by trying to make him a spot up 3 point shooter. Byron Scott won't do that, Scott isn't an idiot offensively. Antawn should be placed on the low block where he can use his style effectively.
3) Anderson began suffering severe back spasms during the 1st round after he tweaked his back. This limited his effectiveness the rest of the postseason, especially against a team he ate up in the regular season.
4) Offensive pace. Again, Mike Brown was lost offensively. No set plays, no movement.. Lebron at the top, 3 point shooters spot up, Andy/JJ cut to the basket, Shaq create a blackhole.. That was pretty much the offense. -
cbus4lifeHe'll stay in Cleveland.
At one point, thought for sure it would be Chicago, but now it is Cleveland, FOR SURE. -

All valid, and add to it the Delonte/Gloria shit and you have a recipe for disaster. An excuse? Well, I guess, but when you win 60+ back to back you tend to look for answers
