Luis Valbuena playing 2nd base had three hits raising his average up to .438.

Jared Goedert hit his 10th bomb knocked in three give him 22 RBI on the season with Columbus.

Nick Weglarz went yard for the first time with Columbus and knocked in his 12th run.

Jordan Brown had two hits and knocked in two giving him 31 RBI nice to see him playing well after being on th DL twice this season.

Clippers had more last night over 12,000.
Seems to me the fans are making a loud statement.
  • HitsRus
I agree....and that statement is that they like to see their team win.

Tribe playing some good ball, of course that's what a young team will do.

They'll look like the worst team in baseball for a good stretch, but then over a stretch of a few games they look like a team who may be getting the grasp of things.

With Santana, Choo, and a healthy Druby and Sizemore, this team has it's 1 through 4 spots set for next season, which is good.

If they can get some pitching depth in the rotation and bullpen, which means keeping Fausto and letting Masterson and Talbot continue to develop, we could contend in this weak ass division next year.

I'm also liking the kid who replaced Valbuena, his name is escaping me at the moment and I don't feel like looking it up.. Hernandez, I think? good contact hitter with some speed.

Jason Donald is also playing pretty solid for his first stint up.. He could turn into a .270 or .280 hitter and will give you good defense.

What remains to be seen is what we get for Jake, J-Honny, and Wood (if anything)

Those AAA stats just show me how big the gap between the Big Leagues and AAA really is.

How does Jared Goedert look? His numbers have been pretty impressive this season. Can he play 3B for the big league club? Or will Chisenhall pass him up? Similar question about Cord Phelps, is he a legitimate option at 2B, or will Kipnis eventually surpass him?

The earliest I could see the Tribe contending again would be 2012, but more likely 2013. I think the line-up has some potential to be good as early as next year, but I don't think the pitching staff will be solid until 2 or 3 of the following group is ready to contribute, which doesn't appear to be next year: Alex White, Nick Hagadone, Carasco, Rondon, Delacruz, Pomeranz. Or if the Tribe can find another surprise guy like Mitch Talbot or if a less herald guy at the AA or AAA level can get it done in the big leagues.

He has five errors in I think 22 games.

He can flat out hit but the glove scares me.

Chisenhall makes Goedert look like a gold glove winner.

Cord Phelps looks very good to me but the guy I like better is Josh Rodriguez. Rodriguez can play both 2b and ss.

Starting pitching is weak in the farm system. I.M.O.
