  Only way LBJ wins multiple championships is if he plays in Boston or LA. Of 60
  some championships those two teams have over 30 some between them. When I say multiple I mean 5,6 or 7. If he stays in Cleveland he might get 1-3. So if it isn't about the money then he needs to be calling Phil or Doc.

  Right now, if I were to bet on landing destinations, here would be my order:
  
  1) Chicago
  2) Miami
  3) New Jersey
  4) New York

  I would agree with that, on the other thread I just said I don't think Miami and Chicago are in the slightest bit scared of Cleveland.

  I don't necessarily think that Miami or Chicago are good fits because of Rose & Wade also being ball handlers but I think that could be the direction he goes.
  
  The fact that the Cavs sat on their hands last night says two things to me: a) like the Izzo situation Gilbert somehow thinks he's going to pry a Bosh away via sign & trade (snowball's chance) or b) he already knows LBJ intends to leave. Gilbert is an arrogant fuck but even HE can't be so arrogant that he feels the Cavs can stand pat and LBJ is just going to run back home to him.

  I think that in the minds of many, it has almost become a moot point. Obviously Lebron would make the Cavs a continual candidate for an NBA Title. Without him, there would have to be many dime beer nights and other promotions to bring fans to the arena. Where is Bill Veeck when you need him?
  Actually, the Cavs would be competitve if they got the right guys to replace James, but it would be a real bummer for the Cavs fans who got so very close only to be denied and then to essentially have to start over. It would definitely take it's toll.

  How can they get guys to replace James? First off, you can't because Lebron is a once in a generation talent. Secondly, the Cavs are at the cap and won't really be able to go out and sign anyone. So they have to start rebuilding or be content with the current roster maybe fighting for the last playoff spot in the East.

  With all the hoopla surrounding Chicago clearing space, just remember that Cleveland is the team right now that can pay both Bosh and LeBron more money than Chicago.
  
  Obviously, Cleveland can sign LeBron to more $$$ than any team. But if Cleveland throws the package at Toronto then Bosh can sign his full max contract with the Raptors and that will apply when he is traded to Cleveland.
  
  Chicago cannot do that to both players with the regular max, if $$$ talks then Cleveland will be the place Bosh lands. Bosh has stated he wouldn't mind playing in Cleveland yesterday and Toronto will surely love to take Andy/JJ/West's cap relief and others for Bosh. Toronto will have to take it simply because their in rebuild mode and they cannot let Bosh go for nothing.
  
  All these teams clearing max cap space must understand that teams like Cleveland who can do a S/T, which most teams losing their stars want to do, can offer more $$$.
  
  That means if Cleveland does a S/T, their MLE becomes way more valuable as second tier players will be looking to join Bosh/LeBron in Cleveland.
  
  So calm down, Cleveland didn't have to make a move last night. Unless they were getting in the Top 5 of the draft no move was going to help keep LeBron. The big moves are still on the horizon.

  devil....you REALLY think Cleveland has a shot at Bosh? What you're saying makes sense from a financial standpoint, for both, but I just don't see Cleveland having what Toronto wants and I certainly don't see Bosh pulling a power play and saying "trade me to Cleveland or else."

  It just doesn't make any sense. First off, I don't think Bosh wants to play in Cleveland. Secondly, if the Raptors are going to do a sign in trade for Bosh, it's not going to be to bring in Hickson. They can get a far better package than anything Cleveland can offer.

  Cavs are one of the only teams legitimately in the LBJ sweepstakes who has anything of value to offer Toronto for Bosh. Miami and Chicago have pretty much blew the whole thing up. Unless the Bulls offers Rose, I don't see it happening and Miami is pretty bare already. I want to hear these "far better" packages that you speak of..........

  Why is it only Miami and Chicago if he's going to do a sign and trade? If Toronto does a sign and trade they would bring back salary so it could work with just about any team in the NBA.
  
  There are at least 20 teams who could put together a better package than the Cavs.
