That is plain nonsense. He does not know how to play strategy or give your team a chance to win. Once a bum always a bum. Stupid hire by the FO.
I agree with your opinion. -

You can bet your ass that Westbrook will be gone if there is a market for him. Dolans will be drooling at the chance to unload his contract. -

Jake Westbrook to the Mets for a New York style pizza and a 6 pack of beer, book it. -
BR1986FBOlney brought up Carmona to the Mets again today. This wouldn't surprise me considering we ARE talking about the Tribe.
As far as Acta goes, yes, he has been served a shit sandwich as far as talent goes but he should club these SOB's like a baby seal after they boot the ball around defensively like the Bad Friggin News Bears. No excuse for putrid defense at the PROFESSIONAL level. -
burt07I'd be very very bummed if they unloaded Carmona. As mentioned, you would think they'd hang on to him because he has a very friendly contract, but at the same time they might look to unload him as his value is high and you're not sure if he could slip back to what he was the last 2 years. Personally I think he's found it and will start performing on a consistent basis. He got by on just a lot of raw talent in '07 then hitters realized they just didn't need to swing if he was going to throw so much junk in the dirt. He finally seems to have figured it out and his control has gotten tons better. It would only figure the Indians would trade him at this point.
As for Westbrook, yes, if you can get anything for him, please do so. Same goes for Wood but that's about as impossible as trying to deal Hafner. The other realistic guys to deal would be Kearns, Branyan, and Peralta.
Lastly, for Acta, I'll admit I wasn't crazy about the hire when it happened but he does at least deserve a chance. I'll agree he's made some wrong decisions so far this year such as leaving guys in a few hitters too long, but I'm willing to give him a chance for a little bit. It's not as if this team's going anywhere in the near future anyway, so it's whatever. -
hoops23If the Indians trade Carmona, I'm done with them as long as the Dolans and Shapiro are at the helm.
He is signed until 2014 which means we better damn well be contending by the time his contract runs out, if not then the Dolans need to sell this fucking franchise to the highest bidder and GTFO of town.
We don't have any great pitching prospects in the minors that would come in and fill Carmona's role. You're also not going to get a great return for Carmona, even though he's back to being Fabulous. -
HitsRusI certainly don't want to trade Carmona if what we are going to get in return is similar to what we got for Lee.
