wildcats20Sweet 16!!!
-
wes_mantoothYay...I guess.....zero interest in either team that was involved. Why couldn't the terrorists win this one?
-
newarkcatholicfanThe two best organizations in the league laid it all on the line tonight and KOBE AND TEAM L.A. was able to get it done in the end.
Hopefully these two can do this again, soon. -
ironman02Congrats to all the Laker fans, especially wildcats.
I can't stand Kobe, but I certainly respect him and the Laker organization. They definitely earned this title. -
ZombieKillerKobe didn't do shit

He wasn't that impressive tonight, but I'd say he was pretty instrumental in this title run. -
ZombieKillerThe refs were more instrumental, than Kobe was.
-
wildcats20Dude had 15 boards.
-
gorocks99GREAT season Celtics. Heartbreaking tonight. Congrats skyhook, sage, etc. All the Laker fans on here. It was a memorable finals. I'm off to bed, hoping the US soccer team changes my luck tomorrow.
-
wes_mantoothCongrats to the true Laker fans like TrueBlue, wildcats20 and Sage....not the posers though.
-
jordo212000Yeah it was a good game 7. The officiating left a little to be desired, but you'll have that in the NBA.
-
wildcats20Kobe is your Finals MVP, again.
-
elbuckeye28As great of a player as Kobe is, with as great of a team as he has, I find it unbelievable that the Lakers can shoot more free throws in the fourth quarter alone than the Celtics shot all game. It's really hard to take the NBA seriously(not the Lakers fault) when accusations by Donaghy seem to have merit (tonight, Heat vs. Mavericks, etc.) There is just such blatant favoritism (as a Cavs fan I admit we get it too) that it is hard to sit and watch a game and not feel like the refs are trying to impose their will instead of calling it evenly.
-
wildcats20Oh and that's Phil's 11th.

Joey Crawford shows up in key games nearly every single time. He reffed games 5&7, maybe more than that? I just remember seeing him in game 5 too. That seems like waaayy too many appearances for one guy. There are other referees aren't there? Can we at least get a guy who doesn't have a documented history of personal vendettas against certain players? -
paul_banksThe officiating was a joke the whole series but tonight was really bad. Must have been money on the Lake Show tonight.

Agreed...after the whole Tim Duncan saga, I can't believe he is allowed anywhere near a big game/ Yet every year they put him in the biggest games, and every year we all complain how he can't call it evenly. It's just annoying. -
ZombieKillerthe Celtics did cover the spread
-
wildcats20Since everyone on here loves the +/- stat.
Take this one in....
Artest was a +40 for the series. -
IggyPride00Foul calls for the game were 19 Lakers 25 Celtics. Seeing as the Celtics were undersized you would expect more fouls for them, but that number is hardly wildly lopsided. The free throw number was, but its not like they weren't calling fouls on the Lakers as the discrepancy wasn't exactly huge.
-
IggyPride00In the various post game interviews Kobe specifically mentioned multiple times that he now has more titles than Shaq. Shaq's got to take it though because he had no problem rubbing his nose in the fact he couldn't win one without him while getting blown out by the Celtics in 2008.
-
wildcats20That's where all of his comments were coming from.
As good as "friends" as they say they are, they still hate each other. -
IggyPride00Loved Ron Artest's press conference after the game.
He was giving mass shout outs to his psychiastrist for all of the treatment.
He probably won them the game tonight as he was the only one who could make a basket for a period of time, and his defense was outstanding (exactly what he was brought in for). -
sleeperCongrats to the Lakers.
