Definitely a possibility, especially with the chance to stick it to Philly several times a year. But unless the Mets know for sure, they are reluctant to pull the trigger. Same thing happened with Santana ... the Twins continually demanded Jose Reyes and Fernando Martinez, the Mets kept declining, and eventually they got Santana for a collection of scrubs. -
newarkcatholicfanChisenhall had another E last night and being he is just learning to play 3rd after moving over from short I can't seem him being in Cleveland for at least three years.
Goedert is playing very well but he isn't ready to play everyday.
Hessman can replace what the Tribe has at third now(even though he does strikeout a lot)and hold down the fort until one of the younger guys is ready to step in. -
newarkcatholicfan7-4 now in the 7th.
-
newarkcatholicfan7-4 Mets heading to the ninth.
-
newarkcatholicfanSantana is 1-3 at throwing runners out in this one but should be 2/3 a bad call by the ump took one away from him.
-
BigAppleBuckeyeAfter being SOOO bad on the road, I'll take our 4th straight road win, even though they came courtesy of Baltimore and Cleveland. Only 1 game back now! Lets Go Mets! 9 wins out of 10 overall, despite another typical 2-hit, ugly K-Rod save ...

WriterbuckeyeA big money team beat a small payroll team.
Goooooooooooo baseball! -
HitsRusBack to the old days...more NY fans in the stadium than Tribe fans. Bad defense does in the team tonite....another way to lose. Donald does not look like he's MLB caliber. How weak is our farm system? WE have a guy hitting a buck seventy playing second and a .235 hitter who can't play defense @ short. I can't believe we were so inept in handling small ball. I was willing to give Acta a chance, but he's not impressed me so far.
-
HitsRus...it's nice to talk about Chisenhall and Goedert...Phelps and Rodriguez. But the fact is that until someone comes up and hits .270 and drives in 90 runs, they are no better than Jhonny Peralta.
-
Glory DaysI was at the game tonight, man it was hard to watch. fielding errors and horrible bunting. and why didnt Acta pinch hit for Valbuena in the 9th? what about his .175 batting average does he think will lead to a hit? he didnt even take the bat off his shoulder.
there were a bunch of Mets' fans but they were fairly quiet compared to when other games like when i was in baltimore and there were actually red sox chants louder than oriole chants -

Hessman should have been in Japan 4 or 5 years ago. No clue if he has a family or not but he is nothing more than a HR hitter and would have strived in Japan. If Tuffy Rhodes can do it, so can Hess.newarkcatholicfan;390782 wrote:Mike Hessman 3RD BASE-WHERE BETTER THAN CLEVELAND FOR HIM TO GET A SHOT AT THE SHOW

I would take these two players for Westbrook from the Mets -
hoops23I'm not sure how much you can blame Acta, he's not exactly playing with a full deck of cards. I think, given the circumstances, he's done fairly well.
Hell, we're only 13 games under .500, this team on talent alone should be closer to 20 games under.
And NCF, lay the hell off Carlos Santana.
As for the trade block, PLEASE trade Jake Westbrook. -
newarkcatholicfanWedge was playing with a deck as weak if not weaker and the blame was his according to so many who post on this site.
Just saying. -
HitsRusWedge had a good team with plenty of pitching, including Cy Young winners. He couldn't win with that...and the front office was terribly inept at providing help when needed. I was a Wedge supporter for a long time.... there were a lot of good thing about Wedge... but his inflexibility did him in.
I don't like Acta because his team seems unprepared. -

Uh, what?
Wedge had 2 Cy Young winners and potential 3rd one. He had a great offensive club and a solid bullpen. He never got the job done.
2007 was the worst choke job I think I've ever seen. -
newarkcatholicfanAttendance 12,882 paid to see this one.

I don't like to say "plus one" on a post, but in this case I say it. (Can't type a "plus" on the Crackberry!) -
newarkcatholicfanI was speaking of last season not every season Wedge was running things.

BRFAND....I agree with Hits previous post, too!
