I ain't going to lie...even as a die hard Indians fan...I am more interested in seeing how good this kid really is.

Not sure if we can judge him off his 1st two starts. Pirates tomorrow and the gutless Tribe Sunday. One hell of a way to grow some confidence though.

I had gotten tickets for this game about a week ago when I did the math of him pitching Sunday. Then I got scheduled to work the first Sunday I have had in like 3 months. I was ticked!!!

Unfortunately I get my tickets from my dads friend (Bob DiBiasio) who works for the Tribe in the PR office. When we end up not being able to use them he just takes them back lol. Im sure he has already given them to someone else. Sorry.

MLB Network will be showing the game pretty much pitch by pitch from what I understand.

well that'll be good for me then. I love MLB Network, my tv is pretty much glued to there and Golf Channel and the Extra Innings Channels

Yeah, they have been advertising all day today about how they will be showing the Strasburg debut as well as the Stanton ABs for the Marlins. Sounds like Itll be their live in game coverage, but really exaggerated for the Nats. Im pretty excited about it.

I wish I had MLB network
  • darbypitcher22
I'm sure it'll be a MASN feed, that's the cable network the Nats are broadcast on

No one's gonna care about Strasburg after the Pirates hammer him. 3.1 IP, 8 ER. It's the Smooth Jimmy Apollo Lock of the Week!
  • BR1986FB
I'd laugh if Strasburg no-hit them. These scrubs are gonna lose 105 games.
  • Heretic
Not even the Indians are currently on pace to lose 105 at this point! (although close) Baltimore is, though. Currently, they're on pace for about a 46-116 record. It's nice to have someone to look down on.

We'll see after this next stretch. I believe the next 40+ games are against teams with a record over .500. Season ticket holders are going to be saying "screw 10 cent beer night. We want OxyContin Night."

MOSTLY against teams with a record over .500. You guys have a three-game series against us the weekend after this upcoming one. I think the advertising campaign is: Indians vs. Pirates -- It's like Browns vs. Steelers...if no one cared.

My boss took a road trip over to PNC the last time the Tribe played the Buccos over there. Said it was a great park.

Strasburg won't even come close to a no-hitter/complete game... I think he'll be on an 85 pitch limit and will come out of the game when he gets to that point no matter what's happening in the game.

On the other hand, wouldn't suprise me to see Bryce Harper around the ballpark today and maybe taking in a little workout for the Nationals brass in their park

With the Tribe, he may only need 45 pitches for a complete game.

I think you'll get a good crowd...but I think you sriously overestimate the average baseball fan around the city of Cleveland.

Well, as Smooth Jimmy Apollo said, "When you're right 51 percent of the time, you're wrong 49 percent of the time!"

They are marketing the shit out of this around town. Driving up Rt 14/480 I see a billboard with "Huff vs Strasburg" just off the freeway this morning. Gotta be the first time Huff has ever seen his name on a billboard.

Old Daddy NoBucks (Dolan) trying to milk the hell out of this. I wouldn't give that SOB a dollar of my money even if it's just to see this young phenom.
