I 92's Baseball Trivia.......Pitching Quality

  • Ironman92
Who are the only two active pitchers who have went EVERY start this season with 6 or more innings pitched and 3 or fewer runs allowed?

Spare me the guys with 5 or fewer starts.
  • darbypitcher22
Active pitchers? to this point in the season or over the course of a season?

I was going to say historically Steve Carlton probably did it in his 27-10 season w/ Philly years back....
  • Ironman92
this season only....sorry....good job catching my error
  • justincredible
    Mike Leake
    Ubaldo Jiminez
  • Ironman92
Ubaldo is correct......Leake just missed being answer #3 as he gave up 5 runs to the Dodgers
  • Ironman92
    Ubaldo is 9-1

the other answer has more strikeouts and fewer walks allowed than Ubaldo

    Halladay

Jeff Niemann? He's been awesome this year.
  • Ironman92
Halladay is wrong.....Nieman just missed....great guess

Jaime Garcia. Have a friend who is an STL fan and he was telling me about his stats tonight. The Reds face him tomorrow.
  • Ironman92
    Nieman's 1st start he went just 1 1/3 innings.....then was removed..but pitched good?

I just looked at his stats. Did he get hurt? Otherwise he qualifies :dodgy:

His first start was only 1.1 innings so he doesn't qualify.

    Josh Johnson

    Roy Oswalt
  • Rotinaj
    Homer Bailey.
  • darbypitcher22
    Garcia may be close
  • Laley23
I second Roy Oswalt. He has been nasty this season despite the poor record.

I know, i just mean what happened in his first start? Otherwise he's been great all year.
  • Ironman92
OMG.....finally back on after 30 tries.

Roy Oswalt was the other answer...but Adam Dunn ended that in the 3rd inning today with a 3 run double giving Oswalt 4 ER and he only went 2 2/3...hopefully he isn't hurt
  • karen lotz
    Oswalt got tossed in 3rd
