and how about a Mark Mcgwire who was the saviour of baseball in the mid-90's, and is now almost "persona-non-grata".
  • I Wear Pants

Jerry Porter. He was a stud at WR for Oakland early on in his career.
Shaun Alexander. The guy went from one of the best RB in the league to nothing.

This list of baseball players goes on and on. Bonds, Richard Hidalgo, Matt Morris, Preston Wilson, Melvin Mora, Bill Mueller, Eric Gagne, Vinny Castilla, Erubiel Durazo, Mark Loretta, Chad Cordero all off the top of my head.

5 time all-star, 10 time gold glove, 10 straight years of 25+ home runs (including 51 in 2005) and 85+ RBI (5 times over 100).

Turned 30 and completely forgot how to play baseball. Or completely forgot how to inject steroids. One or the other.
Not sure how a guy who had a great 10 yr. span just suddenly fell off. Players that start out young, fade earlier than players that start their pro career in their mid to late 20's.

How can no one have mentioned Ryan Leaf. I guess maybe because he never appeared to have actually disappeared. I just remember the hype. Ridiculous.

    Aaron Boone
    Tim Sylvia

3 RBs that come to mind:

Larry Johnson, Anthony Thomas, Mike Anderson

Terrelle Davis. The guy rushed for 2000 yards and won two super bowls with the Broncos. He was an amazing back, but his knees couldn't take it soon after the last super bowl.
  • Gblock
francis got injured or he would have had a great career
  • Laley23
